RV route to montreal, Canada & campgrounds

I can't help you with the campgrounds when you get there. As far as routing.

You have 2 choices. Do as many miles as possible in the US and cross the border at Champlain, NY, for your trip would mean about 1300 US miles and 60 miles in Quebec. That would be Indianapolis, Cleveland, Buffalo, Watertown, NY and cross at Champlain, NY a relatively quiet crossing.

Or cross at Port Huron, MI/Sarnia ON and go completely through ON into Quebec. 825 in the US, 500 in Canada, crossing at Port Huron, MI busier than Champlain but not bad. I would not cross at Detroit/Windsor, nor would I cross at Buffalo/Fort Erie. Both are busy and confusing,

If you are adventurous, do a lot of Canadian miles. If you don't handle strange well, do US miles.

I do them all frequently. I will be in L'Assumption PQ(about 50 miles north of greater Montreal) delivering a portable stage from a concert in NJ on Thursday 6/15. Maybe we'll see you up there...
