Rear axle weight

 This just for thinking about when you are going down the road bobtail.

 

 Does anyone consider more tread traction with more weight on the rear of the truck.

 

 Or less weight and less traction on the tires.

If you paid attention in physics class, you may remember that traction remains constant for a given weight regardless of contact area.  But, we all know that's not true in real life.  Bigger contact patch means more traction, all else being equal.

In theory, you have less traction bobtailing.  But you also have less mass to control.

As an example of how outdated the laws of physics are, we learned ( in the early '70s) that a motorcycle cannot lean more than 45 degrees, generating 1 g of force.  In real life, MotoGP riders are leaning to 62 degrees now.  I'll let DollyTrolley or Vegas Flyer inform us of the "G" force at 62 deg.
