Profile photo problem

I uploaded a photo to use as a profile photo. The upload worked but the photo got flipped upside-down. Did I do something wrong? I'm attaching the photo...it's doing the same thing.

 

I selected the photo from an album in my iPad's photo library. When I look at the picture in photo library it's right-side up.

Many cameras, including tablets and smartphones, record, in the image, the direction the camera was positioned when the shot was taken. Then the smart devices turn the photo around for display so it looks right.

 

But webpage photo display are not so smart. So what you need to do is take the photo is modify it in a editor that changes the direction to remove the "remembered" camera position.

 

And then remember tere is a right position to be taking photos with your device and use it.
