  1. So, I used to get little email notices when posts were made.  However, not anymore.  Hmmmm.  Maybe I've been zapped!  However, anyone already planning fall travels ... or heading to the Balloon Festival in NM?  Thought I'd ask.

PS Don't forget to move your peg.  I think some folks are "stale" on it.

I haven't posted in a while,,  When we were at Pilot Knob the 19th of Feb Delcie had a heart attact Lucky we were at Yuma where they have a great hosp. and Cardilogest. She was in ICU on a ventilator for five days and in the hosp. five more, then in rehab for five more. Even tho she was weak we did make the Escapade. We enjoyed time with Terry and Jeri and Jeff and Tina, we are now at our homebase at Paducah Tx. Delcie is weak but doing well. We did have to give  up our camp host job in Colo. because of the altitude. Don't know how much traveling we will do for a while. Maybe we will get a NM state parks pass and spend the summer checking them out. Hopeing everyone is well and having fun.

So glad to get an update from you.  We were wondering how Delcie was doing.  It was certainly great getting together in Tucson.  Relax this summer and tell Delcie to get better.  We're hoping to see both of you next year.

Hi friends,  I may literally be putting the horse before the cart but as we are starting to look at motorhomes, we would like to know where to find a list of the best vehicles to tow four wheels down.  Not too small but definitely not a pick up.  Suggestions please.

Everyone you ask is going to have a different suggestion based on their own preference. The range is huge from Hondas to Jeeps to numerous other vehicles.  It depends a little what you like.and what the motorhome will pull.  Start looking and do research before you buy.  FMCA puts out a list based on year of vehicle.

WHAT!!! Has hell frozen over??? Are pigs now flying??? Come on Roger, you really do have plans right?? It should be nice in the Bend area in June. We plan to stop in La Pine just outside of Bend towards the end of April before heading to Grants Pass.

    Exactly!

    Crikey, sounds like the Midwest....

You'll like this Jeri...we have no plans, ;)

Did I read that wrong?  YOU have no plans?  Well, what about this.  WE do have plans.  However, you might guess that have plans but no reservations.  We're mostly winging it but what else is new.  I can't believe YOU don't have reservations.  When you heading north?

So, June 9th in Bend shouldn't be too bad?

We've got from now till then to get there...any suggestions for stops along the way?

It'll probably rain hard, thunder, lightening, tornadoes and hail.  How's that for a forecast?   :) Bend is east of the Cascades so different weather patterns.  However, it should be nice but might not with all the strange weather up there this year.  My forecast is maybe nice and maybe not.  Do I sound like a weather professional?

We're going north via California/Oregon coast.  Lots of routes depending on how you go but you already know that.  How you heading north?

I may have posted this in the past. On our first trip to Oregon our daughter found a t-shirt that said, "In Oregon you don't tan. You rust."

    Linda

I've seen those t-shirts too.  However, Oregon does have a summer with very little rain. The problem is people don't always visit during the right time of year.  Summer doesn't start until late June or early July in the PNW running usually through the end of September.  I said usually because this year has not been usual anywhere.

My brother got home Tuesday and my Dad passed that night. I did not expect him to go so quickly based on what Dad told me just Sunday. So, we'll be going home next week for the memorial service. Those of you who pray, please, do so for my step-mother; she won't be able to live alone so she has a lot of decisions and work in front of her since she's lived in that house for somewhere around 60 years.

    Linda

Linda -  So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.  Our thoughts and prayers are definitely with you and your family.  We're also wishing you safe travels.  I understand the step-mother as we went through that with Terry's mom after his dad passed.

  9. You bet...give our regards to J & T when you get there!

Keep your calendar a little open next week. We're going to try to plan an outing for the Phoenix crowd and we have just the place. Grab your cowboy hat and put on your boots! (Also, bring money).

  10.

At least there is some life here. My Class of 2011 is on page 2 and locked. No posts since Nov. of 2015. We are Class-Less. :)

    Travel safe everyone.

    Jeff :)

I was going to say you aren't class-less. You're all class. However, can't say the same about Jerry ............. Of course, I'm joking. He has class too but he got it all from hanging around with me. :)

  11. Our stay in Q is over for now. Think we've been here since 1/11. Dave and Diane came by yesterday afternoon with a pizza from Silly Al's. The pizza and talk was good. Thanks. They have both been under the weather lately.

We missed Toni and Doug as they stopped in Q Wednesday. I didn't see an email from her until it was too late. Next time.

We are heading to Yuma today to get new tires on the rv and may stay a couple of weeks before going back to Phoenix for spring training. Our trip to Puerto Penasco got canceled so back to Phoenix sooner than expected.

    Travel safe everyone.

    Jeff :)

Looking forward to seeing you again. The place is starting to fill up with all those coming in for that spring training. However, Dave said folks come and go for the next few weeks. So, there's bound to be a spot soon.

  12. sWe signed up for the Escapade in March, Hope to see some of ya'll there. We are still at the Ranch waiting for new blinds. They are supposed to be there the 10th. then heading west.

We're "probably" going but have to figure out if our solar and batteries are up to what it should be. We haven't used for a long, long time.
