  1. So, you're new parents! Congratulations! Did she get the new yorkie for your birthday? I bet Echo will be doing tricks before long.
  2. Egads, Lee. I'm glad you're still among the living. Maybe you're like a cat and have nine lives!! Let's hope so after that one.
  3. We left the West coast behind and all it's great weather. Well, it was great where we were. Took the red-eye out of Portland to Charlotte last night. It was definitely an interesting flight with zero sleep. Landed in Pensacola before noon today. Picked up our RV and truck from storage and moved down to the Elks. I think we're getting a little too old for those sleepless night flights. We have a little catching up with zzzzzzzzzzz's before we feel human again.
  4. I also saw that wind gusts will taper from the 40mph ones after the next day or two. Our grandson is sitting just north of you at Norfolk. He said some of the ships are staying out to sea and they've been flooded there. So, take your time and be safe. We'll see you in Florida.
  5. Here is our site -- under water and, Here you go, Joe.
  6. And, we've spent a lot of years remembering that and laughing about it. However, we certainly were not laughing about it then. I know what picture you're talking about. I have it someplace. I'll have to look for it. Yes. It was MJ and Lee. We planned to stay all winter with them but they were just too far north of Tampa for it not to be wet and dreary. However, the beach was amazing. We did spend many nights sitting on the beach and having our own Happy Hour. Fun
  7. Yes and you're still talking to us and planning to get together again ... in Florida. However, this time it'll be farther south and around Thanksgiving time. Look at the memories we made and how many times you've been able to tell that story and show that picture!
  8. I remember that well. That's because we were north of Tampa in mid-December . We didn't move south fast enough. This ended up being crisis day. Everything has gone wrong. I think that's always planned just before moving day. It keeps us on our toes. Im sitting in the car waiting for Terry to finish with his last doctor appointment of 2015 .. we hope .. and reading the forum. I was a little jealous to read that the Rempe and Cox kids were getting together and we still aren't in Florida yet.
  9. That is true. We discovered that the northwest corner of Florida can be pretty nice most of the time but come mid-December, it can get might wet. We had hoped to be back in Pensacola Sunday or Monday but now are waiting to see if that's even possible. Our route had has going through Charlotte. That's the problem and not Pensacola. Roger -- Smart move. Get down to Jacksonville. You should miss most of it.
  10. You folks on the east coast need to hunker down for sure. I just saw the tracking on TV and you know those weather folks are never wrong. It might be nasty.
  11. Well, my daughter and a group are going out on the lake this evening hoping for a great view. I told them they wouldn't see much because the "expert" told me the eclipse would "be almost over by the time the moon rises on the west coast". Maybe they aren't going out just to see the moon. )
  12. Remember the ceremony we talked about it? We'll perform a big one on both the Beaver and the Jeep! Our plans are to put us back on the road next Sunday. Our air conditioner in the RV is supposed to be fixed by then. Hopefully, its done. It's just too hot without it. We thought about delaying departure from here but the feet are twitching. We're ready to do something else. No clouds in the sky here now. Wonder if anything would be visible for us? I'd be good for the early timetable but not so much for the later one. )
  13. Hopefully, you've seen the last of spendy repairs. After all, you pretty much have a new rig with all you've had done to it. We got back from Phoenix in the early hours this morning. What a trip! I'm sure glad that's behind us. We're trying to tie up all those loose ends before we start our winter trek. Phoenix was like an oven.
  14. Lee? You're confused now? You just need to start party-hopping and hop from one party to another party that those locals are throwing.
  15. It's sure nice to hear from you. I'm so sorry for what you've been going through but very glad you're doing better. When you can, drop us a note and let us know how you're doing. Hopefully, with the new medicine now you'll be feeling much, much better soon. Take care of yourself!!
  16. OUR front was only rain. I'm not sure who sent you the wind. It was a definite change in weather arriving from Florida. However, sun is back, rain is gone but fall is still in the air. Anyone seen or heard from Denise?
  17. I had to look at the weather forecast this morning too. It's raining outside and we've got two heaters on. The good thing is after today it will leave .... heading to Montana? It's not my fault if you get it there. Temperatures in the 70's and lows in the 40's here too after that. We may have to readjust our departure date if much more of that stuff heads this way.
  18. It's not just heat. It's the humidity too. We made it back to Washington yesterday .... err, rather very early this morning. Instead of the air conditioner on, I now have the heater on. Hopefully, it'll be nice later in the day. There's lots to do to get ready to head back for the winter.
  19. My guess is that you are using IE as your browser. Try chrome or another one and see if that helps.

  21. Hey Freddy - When you heading out of there? Isn't the season almost over?
  22. That was really a group effort getting him out of there. However, He wasn't the only one who got stuck in sand. Dave (Shadowtracks) did the same thing a year or two later in Yuma also. Freddy ended up pulling him out then with his truck. It's what we had in common that drew us together. We had questions to ask, information to gain and experiences to share.
  23. So very true... I remember Boogity. He didn't last long as a full-timer. I wonder how his farm up north is doing. Dave rarely comments but we certainly enjoy hearing from his wife! We certainly do have a lot of history and a lot of stories. Eric and Karla - We'll be in Bonita Springs for the month of December.
  24. Just a little reminder about the class map. Requirements are the same as they have always been to get on that map. We've posted this on the forum a few times in the past since we have had some unknowns ask to be put on it too. 1. Must be a full-timer when added (even though can change to seasonal later . 2. Must be active on our forum (classless or 2008-2009). 3. Must have attended a group reunion gathering. Don't forget to "jiggle" your pin if you're hunkered down for a while AND add a comment or two to one of our two forums to stay active. The idea is to keep the map fresh and current for our RV family. (PS: No rules apply to 2008-2009 pioneers unless we don't see or hear from them for months .. it's that grandfather clause. )
