  1. Now that was said with a lot of class, Steve!
  2. Tomorrow's a big day. We're visiting Mickey and all his relatives. Epcot's first on the agenda and we're expecting lots of changes since we've been there last in 1988. We just wish the temperature would cool down a bit.
  3. It has been hot, hot, hot for way too may days in Florida. Yesterday temperatures even jumped to 92. It's hard to keep cool but I do see relief in the forecast three days from now.
  4. After we have a nice visit with Mickey Mouse, we'll head that way. Do you want to run over and make sure our site is cleaned up before we get there? That way we won't have to worry about a landscaper coming by and nicking our sewer hose. Isn't that what just happened to you?
  5. It's SUNNY and beautiful where we are. However, when we were heading south towards Mexico Beach, there were dark clouds in the distance. The closer we got and the darker the clouds. Just as we entered the city limits those clouds opened up and it poured. It poured all the way though until we were about 10 miles south of there in St. Joe. I'm glad we didn't have plans to stop. We would have gotten soaked ..... again.
  6. Haven't been to Borrego Springs. We keep talking about it but we talk about going a lot of places we never get to. Map updates -- Liz and Randy are now on the map but need an email from them. In order to be fair and consistent regarding posting on the forum, we will be removing a few off the map within the next day or two but we'll certainly miss them and hope they'll change their mind and decide to remain part of our RVfamily by starting to actively post again. If you know them, give them a poke. We want to hear from them ... November 1st is rolling around. Pa and D Linda and Ron Shadowtracks
  7. It is but using the Thousand Trails parks in November plus half of January and then, February we have our monthly average down under $500 a month and that even counts the time we'll be in the Keys the first part of January. We have reservations pretty much in place until mid-February now.
  8. Just for two weeks but then we move to Orlando for another 2 weeks or maybe longer. We're using the Thousand Trails park to offset our other Florida costs during the winter. You know how that goes . $$$$$ Jerry and Janice will be there too
  9. Sounds like we'll be just down the road from each other! We're at the Thousand Trails Park there.
  10. I've heard that was pretty spectacular. Where will you be at that time? We'll be at Wauchula from about the 14th of January ... subject to change, of course.
  11. This is what I figured from those on the forum who responded that they will probably be with the group in Q during January. I may be wrong but it's a guess. -- Steved44, soos, readytoride, hdrider, IYQ, tdhomestead, palamine and now Mimi55. There will probably be others who join in. The big tent is January 16-24 in 2016. Most everyone else appears to be scattered elsewhere.
  12. Glad to see you post. Keep it up for a bit so others can get to know you and before long, we'll put you on our map.
  13. It is an RV family and as you said, fully participating is what makes the map such a useful tool for all of us. If folks aren't on the forum or stop moving the peg, it defeats the whole purpose. We all love "bumping" into others on the road. Thank you, Linda and Dave, for that map. Your point is right on. People are on the map because they have participated on the forum. I do bounce new additions to the map and deletions off others so it really is a joint "project". Sometimes we do some housecleaning of the map to keep it clean and current. So keep posting!
  14. Sounds like a few gremlins working with the browsers since there doesn't seem to be much consistency.
  15. I think it's more of a "browser" issue. Maybe Firefox caught up with the map ?? I have no clue. All I know is that chrome works.
  16. You're funny. I think we all "hover" a lot but I'd sure like a top notch drone. However, having to register them with the FAA doesn't sound appealing.
  17. Ha ha. As long as you're on the forum, we won't discard you with the quitters! Looking forward to seeing both of you in Florida. We will be south of Ft. Myers by the first of December but not until then so hope to connect with you about that time. Travel safe!
  18. Just an FYI - Dave created the map for folks on the forum and not for folks who just wanted to be on the map. With that in mind we're going to do some map cleanup in the next few days for folks who haven't been active on the forum (Classless or 2008-2009). Hope to hear about everyone's travels. Travel safe!
  19. Glad that you have help figuring out all of this works! Have fun with Freddy and Delcie.
  20. Hey, Freddy and Delcie - I just read Jan's blog and it sounds like you're visiting with them in Lubbock. Are you going to be gate guarding again this year or have you decided to take the winter off and train your new Echo? I bet Delcie is already working on the training. We're currently hanging with the Hyders and Weavers in Florida. Wish you were here.
  21. Maybe Sandie will comment online soon. I sent her a text last night. They were safe, off the road and in a rest area.
  22. We moved a measly 20 miles down the road yesterday and ran into Paul and Marsha. Well, we didn't run into them but they were setting up about the same time we were. A few minutes later, Jerry and Janice rolled in. We've had gorgeous weather but a storm is due in this area Monday and Tuesday. We're supposed to be moving again on Monday but might just sit still. We'll know on Monday. For now we're just winging it.
  23. Hmm. Better than a RV park? Does it have full hookups? We finally left Pensacola but the drive wasn't long. We pulled into Destin which was just about 50 miles south. I think I like days when we move only small distances.
  24. We've been here almost a couple weeks. On Wednesday we'll be pulling out and making the long drive to Destin for about four days. Our check-in is at 4:00 but we only have 50 miles to go so doubt that we'll plan on an early start! From there? Well, we don't know yet.
  25. Well, you could always have David forward the package on to Adrienne if it doesn't show up. We had our mail sent general delivery here. The post office received it at 9:30 in the morning and sent it back to sender about an hour later. Not happy with that. Roger and Lynn showed up yesterday. There is supposed to be some type of big state shindig at the Elks this weekend. We expected the RV park to be full by now but not so yet. There's only one other RV here besides our three and that one's heading out today. Maybe today will be busy.
