I have gear driven slides. They have a worm gear that mates with the cog rail that is attached to the slide and the rails in the rig under the slide. A friend of mine suggested I spray the gear cog tracks to lube them up thus working my electric motors less. . I can only spray the tracks I can get to that exposed under the slide. The last thing I want to do is cause a problem. Does anybody have any experience with these? It will make the cog track slick and supposedly make them move more easily. One of my Bigfoot lines burst when we pulled into camp at Raton. I had to drive 125 miles one way to find a guy who could make me a fitting. Of course without a level trailer the large living room slide would not open. I had him make 2 so I would have a spare. Now if I could just remember where I stashed it ... JB

About 12 years ago I bought a mahindra tractor 35 horse because they were heavier than any other tractor in that HP range. We have beat the crap our that machine with absolutely no issues. Pushed lots of cut cedar and hauled 2k bales of hay on a 1400 lb loader. 600 hours so far. My Blaw is the typical professor type and does not know how to spell no I should say maintenance. He even bent a hay fork which made me proud of him. How do you do that? I have found it low, very low on oil and all fluids and nothing broke. Much less expensive than any other of the Deers or Ks. Parts are available at the local tractor or part store and they do not carry the green mark up. I do have a JD skid steer and love it. Buying parts takes my breath away on the JD. It will do what you are asking for however I suggest you get more horsepower than you ever expect to use. Also rear hydraulics for the tractor which usually means a 45 horse motor. Do not by a tractor w/out 4 wheel drive. Never got mine stuck but a few pucker moments along the way. I will say the resale on anything but a deer and K sucks. However I do not care. In retrospect you need a tractor and skid steer full of mothballs to keep the rats and squirrels out. get the moth balls that come in a plastic perforated bag and zip tie them in. JB

Hi Davena-- Thanks so much to you, Gail, Dale and the rest of the RDBE Gals for a wonderful rally. It was great to see everyone again, especially since I'm now driving our Volvo 610 (thanks for the great instruction last year). I look forward to having updated email addresses for everyone, and look forward to getting that info. I also believe that Cindy said she would email instructions about how to restring these blankety-blank blinds so you could post them. Since 3 of mine have now failed, I hope that's in the works. We're on our way home to Texas, and should be there by the end of the week. We are in Cheyanne Mountain State park in Co. Springs for a few days befor heading for Wyoming. This is a really nice park w/large spaces, laundry and full hookups. 2 years old. Regards John & Michal
