        I have heard anything locally.

But there website says there will be a update in a few weeks. There is a length limit on the road. Also probably a width limit on the road.  They do not leave class C’s to go over the going to the sun road.

If you have a dually truck that can get interesting. Also extended mirrors can get in the way also.

There are several other areas to go see while you are in the area also. Let me know if want any other info. Also watch when the road opens. That depends on there plow operation is going. The east side of Logan pass can have 80’ snowdrifts that need cleaned before the whole road is opened.

Yeah we got reservations at base camp and we're hauling the Jeep on our semi. First time we've ever I've ever been there. Supposed to do this about the 3rd of . Maybe too early . That road road maybe still closed. Guess we have to wait and see . Like you said you said there's a lot of other places we can go see too. Just happy to be able to get out and enjoy a camping trip

We may be near Glacier National Park..

have been there for 14 summers. But my wife’s parents are still alive in Pennsylvania.    So there Health is getting to be a problem.

So we are back east in South Carolina for the winter. Our son lives there.   So time will tell. Will keep informed.

If you want any information just ask.

We're planning on going to Glacier and Yellowstone next year I was just wondering if you heard if glacier is still going to require a vehicle reservations to drive the going to the Sun Road I haven't heard I was just wondering if you heard anything for 2023

I can't wait for retirement myself. My wife, Pam, retired from teaching this year. I have 5 more years before I can retire. About that time I should have my truck and have bought my trailer. We put all of my wife's pension checks into savings for our new trailer. We should be ready to buy in 3 years. Looking at the 40 - 45 foot front living, middle kitchen and master suit in back. I am not very tall, 5'7" is all and the front living are our favorite models so far. We have a place in Vegas called Blue Dog RV and have liked them the most.

    Happy Holidays!

Hi Vegas teacher it's been a long time since we talked . I think the last time we talked you're changing shocks on your truck or something . I know it's been quite some time . Wife and I finally retired it's been quite an adjustment. Waking up in the mornings and realizing you don't have to be anywhere right away . Seems kind of strange but we are sure we will get used to it. It seems like last time we talked your wife wasn't too sure about this HDT idea. She must be okay with it you're still on the Forum. That's a good sign anyway hope you guys are doing okay.

  4. Well we retired late in the season we got snowed in again . So as soon as the weather breaks we are planning on putting miles on the truck . Looking forward to Spring already . Probably the last winter we have endure in the Central Washington . Planning on heading south next winter. Hopefully somewhere where it's warm. We spent the last two days shoveling snow our truck looks sad it's got a foot of snow on the bed ugh.

  5. Well sitting here being retired. Flipping through YouTube videos. I ran across this. The title was. this is why we use hdts. That's when I realized how long it's been since I've been on the Forum. Oh my goodness that could have been bad real bad glad to hear Chad's okay made it through just fine. but anyway seem like we're the last to know about anything.

  6. Well here we are again it's almost turkey day. happy turkey day everybody sure did cut it close for next year's WCR got one of the last. reservations reserved phew that was close. anyway looks like we're going to be there next year . should be a lot of fun. if it is anything like the one I went to 4 years ago . may have been longer than that can't remember it was a blast. since we were there the truck has evolved. instead of it having a wood deck on it it has a steel bed on it . and I am now able to haul our Jeep on it. anyway looking forward to next year. should be a lot of fun. the 30th of November DW and I will officially be retired . and have a lot more time to do fun things like rallies . looking forward to the next chapter in our lives.. .... ....

This one isn’t bad for the disassembly.  It covers disassembly in the first half or so.  I would advise the same as Brad, take the mirror glass off first, then proceed with the housing.

    https://youtu.be/FJzQI3Tb5gY

Another video details the mirror glass removal for an antenna repair.

Tilt each mirror up/forward as far as possible. One at a time.

Apply GENTLE pressure up with some GENTLE tapping up at the lower edge, just until the glass is up and loose.

Then tilt the glass down all the way. Then slide the glass up and off it’s mount.

This should help to be able to access the rest of the mounting screws.

    Hope this helps.

Got it don't look too complicated I've had worse projects thanks guys

  8. Well I screwed up used a pressure washer on the passenger mirror peeled a bunch of the Chrome off of it not good how hard is it to remove mirror cover and replace it any advice

  9. Well haven't been on a while thought I'd come on here and say hi reason for this life kind of got in the way things like work oh that's right I forgot work is a four lettered word on this forum sorry but anyway all that comes to an end at the end of November we'll have more time to do things like I don't know camping vacations who knows maybe go to a rally i e West Coast rally think we might just actually make it this year knock on wood we'll just have to wait and see what happens well anyway I thought I'd stop by and say hi

Assuming you have a gauge on the dash showing the pressure you're applying as you step on the brake treadle valve, T into that line. Feed into the supply port of the Hayes. The Hayes will see pressure from the foot treadle, and the spike.

    Got it.

I don't have a Gen II but it sounds pretty straight forward.  Locate the gage on the dash that shows air pressure when you mash the brake pedal and also shows pressure when you pull the hand trolly.  Find the air line on the back of that gage.  Cut it and insert the T in that line.

I think i got it sounds easy enough thanks will let you know how things turn out might be a few days thanks again

Sorry to hear about your challenges lately.  I can relate to some of those.  I hope you’re mending well.

Was working on a motel hanging doors when my knee gave out. There was about 50 construction workers working on it scattered threw out the building. So you didn't know what was coming around the corner at you . So these guys would wear there mask and get threw screening and temp checks  .Then get inside the building out of site of superintendent and take them off . Needless to say coved was in the building. I guess it was good luck for me that my knee gave out when it did It got me out of there before i came down with it .Now i have a new knee and it  is getting better each day

Volvo?  Gen I or II?  On a Gen I, if you tapped into the air line that goes to the brake light switch you should be good.

Well i guess i am a little out of practiceA a little more info might help .ha I have a 08 vnl780 volvo

  15. With prices starting at $65/night I would hope they are nice.

So how to respond. well I will put it this way .yes it would be extremely expensive if you where full timing it  but once IN  a while more like once in a blue moon it doesn't hurt to take a weekend and splurge a little . If  you cant afford $65.00  for a over night treet once in a while you sure as heck cannot afford a HDT

  17. Brand new  Northern Quest Casino Rv Resort   in Spokane Washington  big rig friendly yes  at least 20 ft of lawn between rv sites  luxury sites concrete pads with propane fire pits and bbqs also comes with patio furniture felt a little out classed the Volvo needed washed and they had a detail company washing rvs  This is a very nice place you can rent a sanitized golf cart to take yourself to the casino.

  18. So we hauled our new to us jeep Rubicon  to Spokane this weekend via I90 what a rutted up mess Seemed like we where all over the road.Hit one rut got stabilized then hit another and get thrown back over to the other  side of the lane. The question I have could the jeep be amplifying the ruff roads? This is how I have it tied down .Two ratchet straps tied to the rear jeep axle crossing each other goings to D rings in the bed  on the front strap over each tire straps go from D ring over the tire to a strap winch bolted to the deck. The question that I have will a strap with RTJ hooks hooked to the jeep frame and winched down to load the suspension help with the excessive  bouncing?
