Well docj, not far from Yuma AZ is El Central CA which is below sea level so some day you may have ocean front property in AZ.
-
docj I have been all over Europe and Asia and everyone I have been with had a sat phone. Never even saw a cell phone overseas.
-
So maybe we could get satellite phones like in Europe and Asia and ditch cell towers, or maybe we will have phone service with satellite wifi.

SafeRide, with a FMCA discount is $69 for a year and includes all your vehicles.
-
Escapees is a great club but I am also a member of FMCA, and they also use SafeRide. I just signed up last month thru FMCA for only $69 a year (Escapees is $99) and they cover my rig, tow and Harley. Haven’t had a need to use it yet. FMCA membership is $50 a year to renew (I paid $60 to join my first year) and Escapees is $40.

It’s notjust your drivers liscense and registration mail that will go to FL and be forwarded to TX. Your vehicle insurance and health insurance will have the FL address too. You can do paperless statements for all your banking and credit card statements as well as cell phone statements and use TX as your billing address for other needs.

I don’t renew until next year. Just wondering if anyone else besides my friends wife has had trouble using a mail forwarding address.
-
Yes but the law changed since last year per my friend. So under the new law can I renew my Passport with a mail forwarding address or do I need a physical address? I am a full timer and do not have a physical address.

I have been full time many years now and use the Escapees South Dakota address as my legal domicile address. I have a friend who just went full time and he and his wife use a South Dakota address ( non Escapee) in Souix Falls. They are currently in Florida for the winter. The wife went to renew her Passport and was told that she had to have a physical address. A mail forwarding address, PMB, was not acceptable. The private campground they are in allowed her to use their address to get a Florida drivers liscense so she could renew her Passport. I will need to renew my Passport next year. Has anyone used an Escapees address, TX, FL or SD for a Passport renewal?

Sorry about the delay in getting back on the fix. Turned out that the hose from the outside holding tank into the inside of the AguaHot had a crack where it attached inside. The fluid was dropping onto the burner and burning off so no evidence on the ground. Replaced new hose, performed annual maintenance, cleaned the burner and all working fine now.

Not sure about No California but I lived in So Cal most of my life. No where do I know of that you can drive on the beach and the only camping is in State Parks which have only a14 day stay limit.

Wow. I didn’t know that KOA membership had accumulated points, business partners and RV road service. I will have to look into that.

Call your insurance company. They will know the value.

I have been in Rapid City the last week of April and many times in May. Although uncommon it does snow up intil the middle of May at times. There are many campgrounds to stay in in the area. America’s Mailbox has their own campground. I usually stay nearby in Custer State Park.

Souix Falls and Rapid City are the two largest cities in SD. No personal knowledge regarding Souix Falls but the DMV in Rapid City is just a few miles from the airport and their are plenty of hotels in the area.

I am disabled and can not get on the roof of my RV. Called WeBoost today and was told that the outside antenna goes on the roof and should be extended after parking and retracted before driving off. It can only be extended and retracted by hand. It would be nice if it could be done with a remote. Are there any cell phone boosters that are remote or do not need the exterior antenna mounted on the roof?

docj, the Know Your Customer rule is not part of the Patriot Act which is no longer in force because it expired and was not renewed. The KYC act leaves it to each institution to decide what information they require. It is the institions attorneys who decide what is required and institutes internal policy to enforce those requirements. Each institution has different policies. There is no law requiring anyone to have a physical address.
-
Quote: The law allows financial institutions to ask for a physical address, in lieu of a mail forwarding service, but that address doesn't have to used on your account other than to meet Patriot Act requirements.
The Patriot Act expired several years ago but many financial institutions still think they need a physical address. It is their internal policy not the law.

I have a 2015 Class A with an Aqua Hot 450D. I have filled the resovior twice now in a week and again it is empty. I do not see any fluid leaking or on the ground. Don’t see any smoke comming out of the exhaust. Where is the fluid going?
-
This goes back to the Patriot Act which required every financial institution to have a physical address on record for every account. The Act expired many years ago and was not renewed, however many financial institutions have not changed their rules. I would think that your VA and Medicare info should satisfy Schwabs requirement but if it does not then I agree with the others that you should move your accounts.

I have the Weber Q 2000. My son talked me into buying a GreenMountain pellet grill simullar to the Treager. I did not like it and have gone back to the Weber. They have a smaller model but I like the larger one.

Lived in San Diego CA many years. Lots of campgrounds between $75 to $100 near the beach. If you go inland into the mountains they are still in the $50 to $60 range. Even the Indian Casino RV parks are $50 a night.

I’m not sure if this is the correct sub forum but I did not see one for this subject. I am currently looking at the purchase of a GPS. I travel solo so it is difficult to use a smart phone or tablet so Co Pilot is not a good option. I am looking at both Garmin and Rand McNally The Garmin RV 770 LMT and the Rand McNally OverDryve 7 are very similar in features and price. Please help me choose.

I have roadside assistance with my insurance and with my extended warranty but both denied to pay for a winch out when my rear passenger wheel slipped into a ditch on the side of the road ($300). They said roadside service is for mechanical breakdowns only. Does the Escapees plan cover winch outs. Does the FMCA plan, Good Sam or Coach Net cover winch out.
Never got an answer. Hello Escapees. If you are going to market a member benefit then give us the details of the coverage.
Long 8' or Standard 6 3/4 is the question for the day

When I had a fifth wheel I had a Ford F-350. Mine was a 6.7 Diesel. Don’t get the 6.0or 6.4. I went with the 8 ft bed just to have the ability of a thighter turning radis. Also I didn’t want to have a sliding hitch. My Ford came from the factory with the fifth wheel prep package so it was easy to just drop in the hitch.
