  1. maybe I'm missing it in this thread, but where do I plumb in an air chuck input to plug the truck in to keep it aired up? Do I have to hold the trailer release in to get it aired up each time?

Just curious- do all of these shops make their own frame extensions or are they purchased? You'd need a pretty good sized press brake to bend steel that thick. Also, the radius always seems to match pretty well which leads me to believe they're purchased.

The guy who did mine and Jonesn2Travels had them bent up. Lots of steel shops around the area and they have MASSIVE presses. Took them less than 10 min to bend them up. Was very impressive and I kept wondering how many fingers/hands/arms have been crushed over the years.

To all my Houston friends and any others that might be in harms way or in the path of the Hurricane.

If you need a place to evacuate to with your RV, I own Boss RV Park located in Tilden, Tx and I have plenty of room to get you and your family out of harms way.

It’s a bit far and a little over 3.5 hours west of Houston by Choke Canyon State Park, but definitely out of the cone of the Hurricane.

DO NOT WORRY about the rates.

There is NO PRICE worth any life and therefore I would waive any fee until the Hurricane passes and you can safely return home.

Jackalopee installed truck side.  I'll get the RV plug side done when the bed welding stuff is done.

As Henry said, those two wire runs need to have a wire in them and then tighten them down to keep moisture out. I'd also recommend running a bead of silicone across the top and down the sides about an inch between the cab and the lexan.

  5. congrats. For hitch mounting and bed, Charlie @just4funmotorsports in Lindon. Just finished my bed re-do, picked it up from paint today and on the road tomorrow. He also just did Jonesn2Travel's new 780 frame extensions and hitch/lights/etc. a couple of weeks ago. Tell Charlie I sent ya.

    Sculptor,

I'm using a UPS Brown Store in TN, however last November when I renewed my truck and trailer in Williams County they didn't want to renew without a real house address. The lady did agreed to do it if I paid cash but told me she would talk to her boss on Monday and they may call me and cancel the registration. They never called but in November I have to do it again. TN really doesn't allow PMD's as an address but several of us have gotten away with it for awhile, @ 4 years for us. The wife renewed her licenses in Crossville last June and they made her do a new application for renewal and sent it to Nashville for approval. They did approve it. When you transfer from NC to TN they may require you to have 2 proofs of address it is in there law they will accept insurance invoice, electric bill. phone bill or other utilities. I use to have a copy of the rule, I'll see if I can find it. found it

    Hope this help,

Go to Dickson County. Williamson county is terrible and way more expensive.

  7. I'm one of the longer ones on here. Do not double tow, I haul a 4door JL on bed and a 40ft 5ver. Occasionally have to park the truck in overflow, but that is usually if the site is 45' or less, Jeep barely fits on with the trailer setup, so same problem with a dually. I use my HDT as a daily driver all the time if the DW is out in the grocery getter and I need to go somewhere. Yes, I have to park out at the end of the lot, but I do that anyway in my JL or the powerstroke, I don't like door dings. Yes, it take a few min longer to get there sometimes, but the comfort and ease of towing thousands of miles, being able to stop the 40ft 5ver, is totally worth it. And I'm in to this truck way less than a dually and it will last much, much longer, is safer, and gets about same fuel mileage. No brainer in my book. Conveniences completely outweigh the inconveniences.

  8. Registered as Motorhome in Dickson County and previously in Williamson County, TN. Title says "MH."

If you attach it to a home or home rental policy in TN, insurance is cheap. I have FT insurance through AIS now (General backend). Didn't want to rely on the home/rental route as coverage was different.

  10. need 60 inches from rear most part of the jeep to the center of the pin. FB group has many discussions/pics.

Happy to help. Just reconfigured mine for a JL from it being originally built for 2 door TJ/Ford Escape.

going to rewire genset for 240v. Onan guy says he can do it in 30 min. Used to work for Onan factory. Said the only difference is how it is wired up. We'll see. Will test it out fully.
