In all our travels full-time with our 40' motorhome and also our 5th wheel we never used any kind of app for that purpose and absolutely never had any issues with tunnels or bridges and we traveled secondary roads all the time.

For mountain driving I highly recommend getting the 'Mountain Directory for Truckers and RVers'.  It comes in western and eastern editions.  It gives an very detailed description of the roads.  If a road is described that doesn't mean you shouldn't drive it.  We always used it as a 'heads up' of what we can expect and we always referred to it when driving the road again just to refresh our memory.

    Simply , X2^ . Except ours is a 36' motor home and never a 5th wheel . ;)

On a related note, everything seems to be going wrong at once.

    - my Facebook replies are all appearing in duplicate
    - the Burger King app will not let me mobile order at the closest restaurant to me.
    - my YouTube previous searches are not mine, they're somebody else's
    - my Verizon phone often doesn't ring

Seems someone is looking out for your best interests . ;)

The issue with using carbon filters at the CG spigot is water quality or lack thereof. Carbon filters remove all chlorine from city water, leaving your RV fresh water system vulnerable to bacteria and virus growth at all times.

I  only use a carbon filter under the kitchen sink to filter chlorine and bad stuff out of drinking, cooking water and the ice maker.

I guess it's the 5% of chlorine left that we smell occasionally .

We do bleach the system once or twice a year , just because ...

Anyway , we've used the carbon filter 'system' for 11 years without a problem . ;)

  4. I went to Menards and bought a simple whole house filter 'system' and mounted it in our 'water bay' .

It takes a 10 inch filter . I use 5 micron carbon filters , changed every few months , depending on water supply .

Price hasn't changed much since I bought about 12 years ago .

I buy filters in a 10 pack , so never without . All water goes through the filter before going into the coach .

Seems to do a very nice job at a reasonable cost .

I can't tell nothing about it with goggle map. I must be doing something wrong.

    Glenn ,

Get the campground map up on Google maps . Go in fairly close .

Then chose a site to measure . Place your cursor at one end of that site and right click . Select 'Measure Distance' at the bottom of the drop down . Then just click at the other end of the site . A measurement will pop up . ;)

The title of this post, which happens to be the title of the leaked video, is becoming so typical of YouTube videos and on-line news articles. It has to be eye-catching and hopefully antagonistic or controversial. Clickbait, pure and simple.

Let's face it, operating systems change and morph often enough that most folks are not going to suddenly jump from one platform to another because of a single update. And it is unlikely that Apple will suddenly "Reign" with regards to Microsoft based on this rollout. Both companies will continue to update and innovate, and that is good for all users.

Watch for an admin warning ... When I called Clickbait on a post by the OP , that's what I rec'd.

Gonna check on doing the same.  I don’t have the manpower to remove it

Could always just mask it off and spray bomb it flat black to eliminate the awful glare . ;)

I have some of the flexseal tape stuff kicking around. Didn't even think about that solution.

    Next time.

    Thanks

Roof repair tape does a pretty good job , too .

I have even fixed a radiator leak with it and a bit of added pressure .

I had an huge supply of extra 751 keys because they were also the lock on fire extinguisher cabinets throughs the university where I worked - and no, we didn't keep the extinguishers locked in their cabinet, that was just the way they came from manufacturer.  Hence my huge supply of those keys.

So , we know who to call when we lose our keys . :(

Which "new generation"?, LOL  Shouldn't take long for a new RVer:   It's a "PITA" and a waste of time.

Thieves already have it figured out &  have a....  "basic - fits everything -  key" !!

    It's called a slot head screwdriver !!

BTW:  I change out all those locks to thumb turn style.  No key required.

Been doing that since my  first  TT in the 70's - Also MH's & 5th wheel .  Nothing stolen yet.  If there's a first time, guess that's amortization..... and time to upgrade unnecessary stuff in there...😉

I kinda like the thumb turn idea , but all our locks are within the bay handles . Would be a bit redundant , for us .

I swear stuff gets stolen a lot . Every time I end up finding it the very last place I put it . LOL

We do try to have designated places , but ... ;)

That ‘ secret’ has been out for decades.  We don’t lock bays during the six months we travel in the summer.  Plus, one look in them, no one is going to want to spend time hauling everything out with everyone in the park watching, for rolls of duck tape, Teflon tape, extra water hose, old chairs, old grill, etc.

I know , but , still ... Why let the new gen know . They need to figure some things out for themselves . LOL

We don't lock bays either . I'd rather let them have what's there than try replacing a door .

    How do you watch TV?

Raise the antenna . Turn on the TV . Scan for what's there .

    If something is to our liking , I watch . If not , I don't . Fine , either way .

Other than the amount of juice used , we've never paid to watch advertising . ;)
