Ok Just checked. It is grounded. Don't know why I thought it wasn't. My inverters will be wired straight to my breaker box input. Ultility comes in at inverters. Should I also ground my inverters to chassis also? Think I should

I know when we connect to incoming ac service we are connected to ground but are we when not connected? I have not looked at it that close. 

Ok, thank you. Are you sure the AC side in an rv is chassis grounded? 

Stupid question guys. Teton uses the chassis as 12v negative path. If I ground panels to chassis and something happens and current runs to chassis will it not fry my 12v electronics? 

Out of compliance? Have breakers to isolate panels from controller. Have DC disconnects between batteries and inverters. Asked about grounding panels and seems that is needed. Where am I out of compliance? Now I am asking. I am no electrician. Also I have watched lots of youtube on solar on rv and no one mentions grounding. Curious, since we get our earth ground from the parks service, when ya'll boondock you don't have an earth ground?

oh, had no intention of using frame for dc negative from panels. I was asking about running a ground line to frame from panel frame.

Wife and I taking today. Ever since got started on this project there has been few days of sun. None for the last week. 

Mine is not the typical solar install. Be pulling 250v per each array. Do I need a ground system? See it done on residential systems. They also put a rod in earth too but we can't do that. 

Some of my family is on Facebook. Main reason I on there. 

Got two more up this evening. One left. Rain for next few days. 

I have Henry's hitch. I never put a dump vave on it. Just raise up Teton. It may be simpler to have dump valve. Works either way though.

Wow. You guys make me question if I made a good choice. I thought I did good getting Blue Sea switch.

I was referring to comment on solar breaker not my original question. Not the battery disconnect. Mount battery disconnects upside down will put it right. Just didn't want to do that.

Mine might. I didn't want to hook up to inverters with 260v going to it. Be only 42 amps though. Put solar on 63 amp DC breakers. Will see.

Since I am using as a simple disconnect if it breaks circuit and they just two legs it can't matter. I will when weather permits, raining, check with my meter. Actually just had toe operated on today. Nothing serious but can't wear shoes for a few days

I may have messed up. I see now it states max 48v. My system is 57v. But I am positive David Dixion uses same switch on his Volt battery bank.

While researching Blue Sea switches I was looking for a single switch to feed both inverters. All the 3 post units were 32v. Only the 2 post units were 48v. So I want with two switches.

Thank you. Is what I was thinking. They went thru the trouble of marking them was concerning me. Now they do make 3 and 4 lug switches also. May be why. Mine just two. 

Mine is marked input and output. It is only a two lug switch. Does it matter? It is backwards for the way I need it. 

Got to take a break from this anyway. Knees are really hurting. Battery disconnects and solar cable breakers and box came in Saturday. Got everything now except for my 120v wiring. Pick up that local. 

Got one yesterday. Said by our records we are paying more than $80.00 for electricity. That is interesting since I don't even have a house. They hung up.
