yea, sorta found that out the hard way. I did blink between n and f one time and continued that untiI I cycled the ignition. DW Durango has a reciever. We just never used it and didn't have a ball for it to hook to. Will be investing in one in case this ever happens again.

Hooked up camper, drove to circle at park to turn around. Camper and car cut pretty good so decided to get out and see clearance of Smart. Put truck in neutral and it rolled back a little so set brakes. Got back in truck and nothing but neutral. Shut down truck several times and no help. Pulled battery cable, no help. Got to thinking it might be between gears. Got a neighbor to hook up his truck to mine and pull it a little. Dropped right in gear. Didn't have to go but just a few feet. First this ever happened to me.

I carry my Smartcar on my hdt. Large storage boxes on both sides. Some carry motorcycles. Not trying to talk you into one but then a large hd toyhauler will be heavy too.

Ac problem

Well. Been riding around with no ac. I gassed it up last year and it leaking at compressor. Hadn't messed with it till recent. Got me compressor, dryer. Put it on today. Pulled vacuum and no leaks. Yah. Went to gas up, took half can of gas and stopped. Would not take anymore. Kept trying. Different guages. Then loud pop. Hose burst. Believe it had collapsed inside before bursting. Pulling out tommorow so this will have to wait. Thought for sure I would have AC this trip.

Hope you find one but I have never seen one with that quality.

Carl, With our DRV. we have stayed more than 2 months in hotels for repair work....
That's why I have to date fixed everything myself.

All the 24 v units i have read reports on said they work on 12v also. Work as low as 8 volts.

Shouldn't any 2 wire thermostat work? See some mechanical and digital ones at Lowe's.
-
No brainer in Texas. The registration is tough with the weights we have. Motorhome realitly cheap
-
Thanks. Got to looking and the thermostate wire is in a crawl space and I have access too. Be easy to do. Glad someting is.
-
Ok, looked at the wiring on line. Furance wire goes to main ac control box. So seems I have to replace with surburan furance thermostat.
-
As you know I doing away with my Dometic unit. Will my thermostat still work for furance when I remove it. It has a box with it that controls the previous 2 different ac units. Mine is the older tall one, not the long newer one. The newer ac was used and older one together, so a box to make this work was installed.

I had trouble with my Hayes unit. Upset me. I replace electric brakes with Disk and installed Blue Dot Air over Hydralic. I have no brake problem anynmore. And there is no lag when applying brakes with the Blue Dot system. I always got a bump when using Hayes system. Did on puckup too

If their screw holes, put a little caulk/dicor in the hole and put the screw back in.
Did that but don't like looks of it.

My valve may be bad. It did slam all the way up. I will be towing this weekend. I will take note and verify this.
-
I agree totally but that is pushed way beyond that.
-
I got a Wilson from O'Riely. Not gave a minute problem.
-
Mine is an 06 and it rather reliable. I have had to do little to it. Turn signal, wiper switch, alternator (mine fault). Just ordered an ac compressor. Mine leaking. Mine is also a Detroit so parts not an arm and leg.Once I got it registered no problem with insurance.

just small holes.

Just use a resin?

Sorry, didn't make this clear. Rear cap area. Teton used a 3 piece ladder due to rear awning. Center section comes out. I removed the lower secion. I left the top section. Good hand hold to come off of straight ladder.
