docj
Technomadia (Chris Dunphy) has recently made posts about WiFiRanger introducing a new line of routers being called Converge. In conjunction with that WiFiRanger has announced a rather significant sale on its existing inventory of Elite AC routers (packaged with GoAC indoor routers). That package is now selling at $549.99, marked down from $749.99. If you've been considering a high power WiFi-as-WAN router, this might be worth considering. The link to the sale is here: https://www.wifiranger.com/elite-ac-sale/ I hope this post will be permitted; I'm making it solely so people are aware of the sale. I'm not making a pitch for why people should buy a WiFiRanger router. Carlos
Am I missing something here? This appears to simply be a Mikrotik $50 router, a $100 marine antenna, and a $110 Mikrotik Metal dual-band AP? What do you get for the extra $400? Firmware with a lot of features I might add. If you have the skills to build it yourself and don' need or want the firmware features, then you can certainly do it more cheaply.
