The article with more info is here:

I can't wait for Space X to IPO. I will at that time sell half my TEsla shares and buy as much Space X as I can.

WooHoo!

Tom go to the http://www.spacex.com and have a look at the Mars and lunar mission vehicles to sit on that Falcon heavy. They are doing Moonshots too.

I will sell half my thousand shares of Tesla to buy Space X when it IPOs in the next year or so. Space X and Musk's other venture, Tesla, ARE the future.

You're so right, that was an adrenaline shot even vicariously. Mush more to come from them and Tesla.

There are several folks here on the forums who back in 2003 called my Interest in Tesla naive because it was a pump and dump. Which was funny since they did not have shares to sell until 2010, two years after they debuted the first Roadster, sold out in advance with cash deposits in 2008/9.

You know who you are.

I have had all my local friends and family repeatedly tell me they wish they had listened and bought at $17 - $22.5 back in 2010 when they went public. It is ~ 335 today. There is a 2011 7 year old thread that is still active called "Are You Still In" Where I chronicled that adventure.  I have never bought any individual stock before Tesla, and the only other one I Plan to buy will be Space X which Musk privately owns at the moment. My investments are in real property, USAA Funds which we really increased during the 2007/2008/2009 dip during the great recession, and our vehicles and other big ticket items that we always buy case to avoid the finance fees and required collision coverage. Our most recent properties, two with one we just sold with just 4 acres and a ten year old  solar system, well, and personal septic installed on the home there. We are also selling this house and 5 acres to move to Colorado this summer 2018.

I am not a stock trader and we keep enough cash to take us through a year, as we don't have house or car notes that doesn't take much, and the rest is Military retirement after 27 years, 25 for pay, and our two Social Security checks. We are TriCare For Life (TFL) which covers any co-pays Medicare does not cover except drugs, and we are near a base so those have no copay either. We pay only phone, Internet, water, electric, trash pickup, and gas. Where we are moving is better cable Internet, and has three full size military bases: Ft. Carson, The Air Force Academy, Peterson AFB, and Cheyenne Mountain. So plenty of pharmacies there too like Barksdale here.

If anyone here wants a great RV winter place this one has a workshop and slab and a finished out office 12X24 building that is also plumbed. The house is ~1850 sq feet with new porches, carport, and 30 Amp RV electric with outside power box, water, and a dump station. When we decide to list it we'll post it on the for sale threads here too. Lots of pics in my Photobucket here: http://s1359.photobucket.com/user/RV_Roadie/library/?sort=3&page=1

Only reason for selling is that as climate change raises summer temps here in the South, there will be a rush to move north, and we prefer to pay today's prices not a land rush price to get to cooler places.
