Kirk W
I just heard from fellow Escapees that Rainbow Plantation has a lot of trees down and some serious flooding. There is no power or water, as of a couple of hours ago. There is a team from Rainbow's End heading that way to help. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Kirk W
I just received the following from our friends at Rainbow Plantation. Quote Thanks for the offer, but we are OK, actually very lucky. We have a lot of limbs down and the yard is covered with leaves. But no damage to the house or motorhome. Our next door neighbor's large fifth wheel was flipped on its side. There is a lot of damage here with hundreds of big trees down and several houses flooded. Lots of roofs ripped off and other damage. The first 48 hours the roads both inside and outside the park were closed due to trees and power lines down. They are open now with single lanes. We have no water or electric. Water should be on in a week and electric in a month. The eye passed over Rainbow Plantation and we had 87 mph winds for two hours and 27.22 inches of rain. But we are OK. Running the motorhome generator and cooked supper there. A neighbor has a well pump and generator and said we can have all the water we want.
