RV_
OK so it won't happen until April, but this is great news as you can wait to see if an update hurts anyone or wait until you get to your destination to download updates or both. I found with my Pro editions I can undo yupdate pause just before the pause expires and then just delay them again for the full defer time. I do not know if the about to be released seven day update deferment will be renewable too but it is a big step up for all you Windows home users who could not defer updates on the road. Excerpt: "Only Windows 10 Professional users can pause Windows updates today, but that’s about to change. Windows 10 Home users will soon be able to pause updates for up to seven days. This feature should arrive for everyone when the next release of Windows 10, codenamed 19H1, is finished. It should be released sometime around April 2019. Paul Thurrott first noticed this change, and it’s something Microsoft didn’t mention in any Windows Insider blog posts. Of course, there’s a limit: You can only pause updates for seven days at a time. To do so, you’ll just head to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. There’s now a “Pause Updates for 7 days” option here, and it works on Windows 10 Home." Go to the articvle with links and great screen shots showing you how the update screen will look after April.
