sonora shepherds
We are considering a 2006 Gulfstream to use for a winter getaway into the desert. Need opinions On 2006 Gulfstream Conquest 29' touring cruiser with 38000 miles with Ford V10 engine. Also considering 2004 Lazydaze 26' midbath with same engine with 16000 miles. Would appreciate opinions and insights. Thanks
Bill Joyce
Lazydaze has always been a quality brand than Gulfstream. But 16000 miles since 2004 is very low usage and that is not good, since the systems like to used. Actually 38000 miles since 2006 is fairly low usage. Make sure everything works, not just for 10 seconds. 2004 40' Newmar Dutch Star DP towing an AWD 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, Fulltimer July 2003 to October 2018, Parttimer now. sonora shepherds
Thanks for the response. What sorts of problems do low mileage rigs (like the 2004 Lazydaze with 15200 mi) present. Thanks
Bill Joyce
Seals and other rubber and plastic parts dry out and/or get brittle. Dust collects in places and hardens up over time. Parts do not stay lubricated, so rust develops internally. 2004 40' Newmar Dutch Star DP towing an AWD 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, Fulltimer July 2003 to October 2018, Parttimer now.
