Michele Larson
Have a 2016 Ford F250 SB truck. Intending to buy 5th wheel soon. Taking a road trip this summer (without a 5th wheel) and looking to buy a truck bed cover so we can store our luggage in back of truck to protect from theft and weather. Since we plan to buy a 5th wheel, wondered if anyone had experience with the Retrax Pro bed liner and if it presented any problems when they had their hitch installed. Also, this may appear to be a stupid question, but is it possible to leave hitch in back of truck and be able to close the truck bed cover? Wasn't sure if hitch would be too tall and you can't close the bed cover.
Wayfarer
I had the Retrax on my short bed Ram 2500. It worked fine and went over the B&W hitch just fine. I liked it so much I bought the Retrax for my 3500. Tom
Michele Larson
Are most hitches "standard" in height? We have a shortbed and will be purchasing a hitch soon and was just curious if Retrax bed cover will go over most hitches. thanks
Darryl&Rita
Haven't seen a pickup with a hitch head above the box rails. The release handle, or the slide handle may need mods, or a rubber bungie strap used to keep the head angled to the driver's side. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here.
