RV_ Posted July 5, 2016 Report Share Posted July 5, 2016 OK after a month or so of using Windows 10 Mobile I am loving it. If you have an iPhone or an Android this thread obviously isn't for you. Nor am I trying to recruit you like the folks who jump in Windows threads saying we should switch to iOS, OSX, or Linux. This is about what I like about Windows mobile 10. If any of you want to discuss those other OS' please start another thread and do tell what you like about them. But for the one or two here that have Windows 8.1 phones, and whose phones are on the hardware capable upgrade list, my advice is to get it! The mobile version of the Edge browser is terrific. Easy, intuitive and very fast. All of the settings and user interfaces have been changed to be more like Windows 10 on the desktop. Word and the other Office Apps are getting to the point of familiarity, it is starting to "feel" like a Windows device instead of a red headed step child. The mail program works and carried over the settings from before but is all new in capabilities, as is the music/media player. I love the Groove music App! If your device is on the list below as eligible for the update just go to the Windows store on your phone here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/apps/upgrade-advisor/9nblggh0f5g4 and get the Windows 10 mobile upgrade app installed and run it. It will double check and then you can select to get the upgrade and then do it when you won't be using the phone. it takes about an hour for the first upgrade, and then you need to check for updates again as on both of our phones there was an update to the upgrade needed right away.
