Kirk W
We stopped in to see our friends at the arboretum this week and Paul asked me to post this ad for him. I highly recommend this as a wonderful experience in volunteering! BOYCE THOMPSON ARBORETUM in ARIZONA has an April vacancy. Ever wanted a chance to "road test" the lifestyle of being a resident park host volunteer couple? BTA has one immediate opening for a couple who can commit to the month of April 2015 (May and June, too -- if you welcome the heat of an AZ summer). Duties? Expect to ring-up visitor admissions. Cash register experience is preferred, but they'll train if you don't have that; also hospitality "greeter" duty welcoming and orienting arriving visitors. Maybe also watering plants & other light-duty visitor center and gift shop tasks as assigned. Couples are preferred, and 20 hours per person each week scores an FHU (that includes water, sewer & electric; not propane). No additional pay. The Arboretum is a magnificent 300-acre desert garden collection that we've heard described as "Arizona's most exclusive gated community."
