Looking for WiFi? Look for WiFiRanger!

Literally, when you see WiFi Ranger.com as a wireless connectivity option, click on it and stay connected! You’ll find free WiFi in the WiFi Café (in hospitality) as well as throughout many areas of the fairground and campground areas, sponsored by WiFi Ranger and Kelly Hogan. Kelly will be in the outdoor market area and in market booth #1 in Old Pueblo Hall; stop by and he will demonstrate the latest technology for boosting signal strength and keeping you connected! Don’t miss his presentation, Maximum Connectivity, Staying Online, Monday at 8:30 AM in Old Pueblo Hall seminar room 1.

We need Volunteers!

Yes, you can help! There are many fun jobs to do at Escapade! Come, join in the fun and volunteer to help drive transportation carts, serve popcorn or ice cream, or help out in hospitality or security. Review the seminar schedule to identify your free time, then volunteer three hours (or more!) of your time and earn the 55th Escapade volunteer pin and a chance to win the volunteer door prize – a catalytic heater, courtesy of RV SOLAR ELECTRIC! Sign up early; the volunteer booth is open Sunday in hospitality, so stop by and make your Escapade a fun and meaningful one.

Calling all Solos!!!

All “solo” RV travelers are warmly invited to join the SOLOs BoF each afternoon, beginning Monday at 4:00 PM, for a casual happy hour and get-acquainted time. Please bring your chair and beverage (and a snack to share if you like). There are also gatherings most nights after evening entertainment. You’ll find them at Soloville in the campground area.

Where’s your hometown? Visit the U S map in hospitality on the bulletin board and leave your mark! Locate your hometown and pin the spot so others can see where we’re from!

Escapade Extras Sunday March 8, 2015

Welcome, Escapade attendees!

Welcome to Tucson, AZ, and to the sunny desert southwest. Thank you for joining us at the 55th Escapade for a week packed full of RV education, fun, and entertainment! With a full seminar schedule, evenings with entertainment and socials, your week will be a busy one! In addition, the RV show and Escapade market awaits with everything for the RV enthusiast; you can shop ‘til you drop, or until Wednesday at 4:00 PM!

If you’re a “first-timer” at Escapade, dive in and pack everything imaginable into this week! If you’re an Escapade “old- timer” then you are considered an “official greeter” for all the first-timers! Welcome them with hugs and handshakes! Most importantly, be sure to learn something new and share it with your fellow RVers. It’s often said that we may meet as strangers, but we will part as more than friends after our week together. Join us as we carry on the well-known SKP tradition of “caring and sharing.”

Welcome to Escapade! Let the fun begin!

Big SKP hugs,

Bob & Molly

Wallace & Wanda

& the entire Escapade Staff

Catch a ride, thanks to MultiGenerational Wealth Strategies!

Need a lift to or from the activities area to the campground? Look for four- or six-passenger golf carts traversing the golf cart route and hop aboard for a lift to event buildings. (See your pocket map for the cart routes.) Stop by the MultiGenerational Wealth Strategies, booth 38 in the market, and say hello to Shawn Loring, and let him know that you appreciate the ride!

Thank you to An RVer’s Friend!

A huge thank you to An RVer’s Friend for sponsoring the Escapade Extras at Escapade! The Extras is your daily news and information source and is emailed daily to the email address of registered attendees. You’ll find printed copies each morning in the WiFi Café (sponsored by WiFi Ranger and Kelly Hogan) for your reading pleasure. Stop by market booth 87 to visit “Smitty” and Louise Smith and AN RVer’s Friend. Smitty and Louise have been full-timers for more than 6 years and have exhibited at hundreds of rallies, gathering an astonishing collection of tips and safety suggestions that they freely share with fellow RVers. Their booth is filled with numerous items to make your RVing lifestyle more enjoyable and safer.

Wi Fi Ranger will be available in the Hospitality Café. At this time it does not extend to the campground areas.

First Jam Session is Sunday from 1-2 PM in the Central Park Pavilion. Come make some music!

It’s about Adventure!

As RVers, it really is about adventure, and the journey is to be savored. For many folks, Alaska by RV is near the top of their bucket list. Ron and Juanita Kohn and the good folks at Adventure Caravans make the journey fun and the adventure memorable. They’ll also take you expertly to Alaska and back in the comfort and safety of your own RV. Join their presentations, RV to Alaska, Monday at 8:30 AM, and Guided RV Tours, Tuesday at 8:30 AM in Thurber Hall Room 2. Visit them in the market at booth #66. Adventure Caravans generously sponsors The Rivoli Revue and Brent Webb –The Master Mind, for your enjoyment this week.

Your Escapade-issued name badge is your admittance credential to all Escapade events. Please wear it at all times! Badges may be checked upon entry to buildings and seminars and you will be asked to retrieve it to gain entry, if it is not displayed. Be sure to display your vehicle pass in your driver’s side windshield in clear view for the gate guard when re-entering the fairgrounds. Badges may also be checked upon re-entry, so please wear or take your badge with you when departing the fairgrounds.

Shirt color for Sunday is Black--Event Shirt if you have it. Monday is white.
