The Class-less Class

I don't use a smartphone (Lynn does) so, I'm a bit in the dark about how to use one. However, I came across this thread and perhaps it has some things to try: http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s5/389959-verizon-galaxy-s5-data-usage-through-roof.html

Roger

The data usage wasn't on the phone it was usage from the Jetpack (WiFi, MiFi or whatever others call it). I don't know about Lee's above but my friend has all updates blocked so it wasn't even the updates.

I tried to post this afternoon using my iPad air and Verizon jetpack. While I was writing it I got a notice from Verizon that my password had been changed and if I hadn't changed it to call. While I was calling something used up all 5 GB of my monthly data allocation and I was getting notices that 75% then 90% and finally over 100% of my data had been used. All within just a few minutes while I was waiting on the phone for customer service. I turned the jetpack off. All customer service told me is I must have used the data. When I insisted that it wasn't me that used it. They told me to call the Fraud department Monday morning. As I am now stuck with only the smart phone I won't be posting much till I get the straightened out. My fingers are too big for this micro sized key pad.

Lee, perhaps your account was hacked? I installed Avast on Lynn's phone several years ago to protect it. It was recommended by Kim Komando "the digital goddess" and I get her weekly newsletter. Lots of good info there. Found a past article for you...check it out at: http://www.komando.com/apps/2767/5-apps-to-secure-your-tablet-smartphone/all

Diane is a New England fan and I don't really care bein's I'm a KC fan so I guess we will be rooting for NE here!! We couldn't get NBC for some odd reason while on Plomosa Road, we even moved down the road a piece yesterday and tried. So we lifted jacks and came to Tonopah where we do get it and can watch the game.

I would have been just fine staying put and missing the game but Diane was not having any of that LOL!!!

We're back on Plamosa Rd. About a mile west of where we were at. Had to come here to watch the Super Bowl. Can someone tell me how to get

to the 14 day BLM area around Lake Havasu? Rode the bikes over to visit with Jeff and Tina. They were still in the same spot. Hey Lee, sounds like your having some bad luck. Hope you get it straightened out. Ya,ll be safe!

Ron and Linda, we are at the 14 day BLM spot 5 miles north of Lake Havasu. It is a nice spot with a view of the valley. It is between mile marker 194 and 195 on the right on Hwy 95. If you come here look me up, we're in the 40' Fuzion toy hauler on the south side.

There are other spots south of town I believe mile marker 173 and Craggy wash by the airport, but I don't think there as nice as this one.

We have had terrible service from Verizon. We now have a Straight Talk hotspot from Walmart and although we have just had to use their service once, it was amazing.

Since Tina didn't feel well last weekend we went to the Desert Bat today. The place was not crowded at all. We were there from 12:30-3:00. Must be something happening today. LOL. The Walmart in Parker was about the same.

There was a Tupperware with a basket left in a box with lemons and a box of Sangria.. Does it belong to someone or was it to donate? Thanks for the Sangria. Can let it go to waste. LOL.

Last ones left. Moving into Q tomorrow for a few days.

Travel safe everyone.

Just wanted to say we had a great time at the rally and enjoyed meeting old friends while making new ones.

Well, we're a week into getting a new RV and finally getting a toe hold. While the people at the dealership treated us like family it still wears you out. We stood around all day doing nothing and then at 4 o'clock they park your rigs together so you can move your stuff for another 5 hours. This happened for 3 1/2 days until we left mid afternoon on Thursday.

See y'all next year,

No Comments about the game? Peyton Manning wishes he could play in playoff games like Tom Brady. No question in my mind who is better. Brady or Manning? Brady all the way.

What a wild finish.

I said it on my blog and ended with .........

Now that the teasing about the teams is over and with egg on my face, I must apologize to the Patriots’ fans and say, Congratulations as your team was the better team! I’ve even turned my Seahawks T-shirt inside out in shame.

You're in good company Jeri...there's plenty of faces with egg on 'em! Congrats to both teams for a great game. Still don't get that play call to end the game. Maybe toss it to the flat area but, to throw in the middle with the box stacked for a run? Couldn't bear to watch the game...still feeling salty over that Pack lose... but, enjoyed listening on the radio around the campfire. Our half-time show was better!

What a great place for boondocking. We left Pilot Knob early but what with emptying, filling and a short Walmart stop, we arrived at Ajo at about 1:30 pm. Gorgeous weather, 105* in the sun, 95* in the shade. We are all alone for now. Just the way Doug likes it.

We made it to the Freightliner place in Phoenix and had the alignment done on BessyBus ll. It really helped quite a bit, but in the process we found out we needed a brake job on the tag axle. Now we have that scheduled next Monday, so now I'll have to rob a bank this weekend to be able to pay for that one. It all goes with the territory I guess. We got a spot at the Scottsdale Elks club with electric and water, so we will hunker down here until the appointment. Traffic is alive and well in Phoenix........ Steve

We roll in there on Tuesday the 10th. I hope you guys are not still their. Well I mean that in the nicest way of course LOL!! How is that place Steve? I dread the traffic but we will be coming in from the West so won't really hit the worst of the traffic I hope. AND I think we will backtrack and roll AROUND Phoenix when we leave the area just because.

Hey Dave, there are a couple of empty spots right now with 30A and water. There is a dump on site so at least that's not a problem. Just a dirt parking lot, but plenty of room to maneuver.
