  1. We're thinking we are. That is we're thinking about it. We're not sure where or what but we're ready for a change. We just have to find someplace that will take us.
  2. The fine in Oregon is only about $300 a crab.
  3. Yeah, I remember you folks saying that. We've been to all the TT parks except Colorado River in Columbus but not so sure about the " winter warmth" in their locations. Some are still a little too far north. We loved Biloxi and often talk about going back. I know the Weavers spent last winter in Texas someplace but also a lot of time at the Houston Elks. We'd like to go someplace new this winter too and have been giving it some thought. However, other than the TT and Elks parks, we'd have to find one that would allow us and Duchess to stay. I want the perfect park, in the perfect place for the perfect price. Do you know where that is?
  4. Well, well, well. Guess who showed up today! I sent them a photo of crabs in a pot and before I knew it they were here and wanting all of our keepers! Tomorrow they're just going to have to go and catch their own. I guess we can't "hyde" from the Hyders anymore. They're parked right next to us.
  5. Not me ... Sandie was curious about it so thought I'd just ask. With everyone talking about heading other places she was wondering if anyone would be around Arizona for a reunion. That was it. No plans or leadership required but just wondering.
  6. Now, Paul, do you really want more people telling you where to go and what to do? Isn't one enough? :D Besides just like mentioned above, herding this group is next to impossible. We have enough trouble keeping track of our own travels. Here's a thought for everyone ... Sandie and I were texting (we do that often) and wondering who might have plans on wintering in Arizona this year ???? Any thoughts?
  7. Welcome, welcome, welcome. It's always nice to meet new people. Keep us posted on your location and activities. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to meet you down the road. Oh, and don't believe a word IYQ told you about any of us!! It's probably not true. Well, maybe some of it is but don't believe it anyway.
  8. We're shooting for putting wheels on Whidbey Island about August 10th or 11th. So, go stock up on crabs and salmon. You're in charge of food. We're hoping for the perfect spot at Fort Casey for a few nights before moving into shouting distance.
  9. At $39 a night for you to bring your own bed and linens, they better provide an ocean front spot and mints on the pillow.
  10. Happy Birthday!! What time is dinner? We're on our way.
  11. Our mistake. Too many crabs and we even went out one night. Hmm.... I need to get the crockpot out too. Thanks for the reminder. Got to use some of this food up.
  12. How could you share them? You didn't have any. You had salmon but you didn't share it either. We're coming back when you least expect it. Heck, we might be on our way right now. You'll never know until we get there 'cuz we won't tell. Actually, it hasn't been that bad other than this has been a very different summer. We've had way more rain than normal and the temperatures have been a lot cooler than it normally is. I guess it has been everywhere though.
  13. Now that was funny!! Since we've been on the Oregon coast for nearly a month now, we're thinking that they're waiting until we leave to show up. I think they might be afraid we'll make them go crabbing with us. I'm not sure crabbing is for everyone as Marsha and Sandie and I have discussed. I'll share my pictures of them on my blog but I won't share the crabs we catch!!
  14. We've been waiting for you on the Oregon Coast but you didn't come.
  15. They're kind of like the rest of us ... don't expect us until you see the whites of our eyes. We'd been waiting for them too but they have an appointment to get their motorhome in the shop next week. So, unless they post otherwise, none of us may see them for a while. Justin and Jordan went home today so it's pretty quiet tonight. I'm zonked and we still have food left. Tomorrow is supposed to be a gorgeous day so we plan on just putting around in the boat before we pull it out the next day.
  16. I agree too. If you like them, we'll like them.
  17. Congratulations. It's amazing how that little bundle can change your whole outlook on babies and kids! Is Mike sending out virtual cigars? We were exhausted when we got back from Portland last night. However, we now have more groceries in this little motorhome than we'd ever had. It might have something to do with the two teenagers we brought back from us. Justin commented that he felt like he found a treasure trove in our refrigerator. Amazing how food can appear and then disappear just as quickly.
  18. Yes! Congratulations, Sue, on your new home. What a perfect time to clean out all the stuff you've accumulated too. Have fun getting it set up and trying it out. Lee - We have one of those dinner trains down the road from us too. Matter of fact, we're backed up almost on it's track but we do know the train on the track only runs once a week or we wouldn't be here. We're going to check it out also and may or may not take a ride. Sandie - Glad you're getting the spring fixed. Hopefully, this means you'll be able to move forward with the rest of your summer plans. We're heading back into Portland today. We sure had a "squall" come through here yesterday. It was one of those days that we didn't do much.
  19. HAHAHA ... we haven't had much rain. Actually, it's been just about perfect. However, from what our never-wrong weatherman is saying, we may be in for a few little bucketfuls this next week. Oh well .... Of course, you're doing a good job. None of us would doubt it. We're not good at watching people work. Our move today was more like 30 miles instead of the 25 I figured it would be. It was a long day as you can imagine. However, we ended up with a really nice site and right on the water, of course. After all the activity, we'll probably take it easy tomorrow or we might not. The Tillamook Cheese Factory isn't far and that's one of our weaknesses.
  20. Today is moving day for us. It's a long drive. We have about 25 miles to go. :D We had thought we'd hang around and wait for you but I'm guessing now by the time you work your way around we'll be gone ..... and so will the crabs. We'll probably head back inland next week. Toni -- did you figure when you're going to take your little vacation?
  21. Very familiar with Tacoma and it's not my cup of tea either. We're on the coast so don't have the earwig problem either. It's much cooler and the wind blows more off the ocean but the skies are blue and it sure beats the stories everyone else has been telling about hot weather and tornadoes. Jerry and Janice are flying this way. I hope they have a jacket with them because the forecast is about to change! Isn't it great that we get to change our minds? I still get a chuckle out of Loralie. She said I was the Queen of Flexibility and she was the Master of Scheduling. Maybe we need to learn a thing or two from each other .... or, maybe not.
  22. Now he'll want to go back to see if he can beat the last record! Hope you get that spring taken care of soon. Winter is coming and Montana gets a lot of snow!! Lee --- Haven't seen any of those bugs here. We don't want to either. Of course, since they like it hot during the day and cool at night, they probably wouldn't want to come here. It's not hot during the day. Hyders - I know the class map is still lying. You're not in Wyoming. We're still at the beach and will be for a little while. Not sure where we'll head next but maybe a hundred miles or so north. I'm thinking much more than that and we'd have to put floats under the wheels.
  23. Silly me! You're right, Joe. Actually, it is raining real hard here .... really, really hard. We just got out the raft so we could float the motorhome if we need to.
  24. HAHAHA ... it didn't rain all day. It was gorgeous! We drove inland to Portland today and after being on the coast, it seemed hot at mid-80's. Seaside was a perfect mid-70's. However, must admit it was a little bit breezy. No need to head to the mountains in Washington. Just head to the coast or one of the islands ...
