  1. You reminded me this is the weekend Dave said he was going to do our taxes. He hasn't started yet. Good thing it's a three-day weekend. Linda Sand
  2. Got an offer on our RV today. It was lower than we wanted but it is time to sell it so we said OK. Now we're just waiting to see if it actually happens. I'm afraid to hope too hard. Linda
  3. that makes it even harder to persuade yourself you moved. At least is there was a lake or a fence on one side you could move it to the other side. But if the grocery store didn't change, my mind says I didn't move far enough. Linda Sand
  4. When the shops and sights around you don't change it gets harder to believe you are in a different place. Linda
  5. 3:30 am happened here last night. That's what time I finally quit playing my new game and went to bed. I'll have to get that timetable turned around again before heading off next fall. RV parks tend to have checkout times earlier than I got up today. Oh, make that yesterday. I just looked at the time and discovered midnight came and went again. Linda Sand
  6. I was thinking that. He did free work for her then HE took HER to lunch. Sounds backwards to me. Linda Sand
  7. Getting ready for Da Boyz.Think I can get there from here in time? I have that song "I'll be home for Christmas" running in my head--"...If only in my dreams." Linda Sand
  8. Paul, We like this one: Usery Mountain Regional Park US 60 E to Ellsworth Rd N, Mesa $20 W/E; dump; 73 sites; first come; okay internet Linda Sand
  9. Yes, Lee, Vista is the devil. Many people have upgraded by going back to Windows 97. We upgraded by going back to Macs. Linda Sand
  10. Hey, Carol. Welcome to our discussions. Good to see you here. Linda Sand
  11. Y'all talk about me all you want. Maybe I'll start to feel like I'm there. Linda Sand
  12. So glad you are OK; the rig can be fixed as you well know by now. But, I'm not going to see you so some details here or on your blog would be nice when you've recovered. Linda Sand
  13. I feel like we crossed the border going the wrong way today. Snow on the ground here and I'm chilled and can't get warm. You'll soon see me wrapped up in my comforter wishing I had some hot chocolate. Linda Sand
  14. One advantage of being back here at this time of year is knowing where to go and what to order to get a fabulous meal. Linda
  15. We went out this evening for a good steak dinner to celebrate being married 45 years. One advantage of getting married when we were still kids is we still have enough teeth to eat that steak. Yet it's hard to believe that Dave and I have now known each other for 47 years, two months, and 22 days. It seems to have just flown by. Linda Sand
  16. My message this year seems to be let's all celebrate as if we have peace on Earth and goodwill towards all men. Linda Sand
  17. Yay, Terry! Picture me pretending to do cheers for you. OK, maybe not a good picture. Linda
  18. IYQ, Do you take a different cowgirl to dinner each time? It could be hazardous to take the same one too much. Isn't that how you wound up married? I seem to remember you met your late wife through the LOWs. Linda Sand
  19. The very first time we hit one of those stations and got asked the question we had no idea how to answer it. Minnesota? The next time the question was where are you coming from TODAY? That was much easier. The last time we were coming from a park just across the river from Parker, AZ. I reminded Dave before we pulled up that we weren't coming from Parker, we were coming from Earp, CA. That helped. Always try to be coming from California when entering California. Linda Sand
  20. All our good wishes are with you and Jim through his surgery and recovery. Linda Sand
  21. Do you tuck your hand under your chin when you sleep? When I do that it bends my wrist too far which causes my pain. That's why I wear a loose brace on that hand at night. Loose because if I tighten it that causes its own problems. Linda Sand
  22. Lee, That sounds like you have carpal tunnel syndrome. I hope not. It takes forever to heal. Sometimes when I wear my wrist braces (for my tennis elbow not carpal tunnel) my fingers clamp down on them during the night which does indeed make things worse. If you can keep your hands relaxed it helps. I also have to rest my hands on a small pillow to keep them elevated but again that's because of my weird elbows--my arms don't come close to being straight. Linda Sand
  23. Scary stuff. We did the recalls plus installed the behind-the-frig fire extinguisher. No point in taking chances. So glad you are safe even if broke again. The more I think about this the more I wonder why it is costing you at all. Isn't this a Norcold problem? After all, they are the ones who chose to install a shutoff system instead of actually fixing the problem. It's still their problem, right? Linda
  24. Found a benefit of being back home--extended family gatherings. Ate well and learned a new game. Lots to be thankful for. Linda Sand
  25. It's hiding behind Soos'. You need to zoom way in to see it. Linda Sand
