  1. All our good wishes are with you and Jim through his surgery and recovery. Linda Sand
  2. Do you tuck your hand under your chin when you sleep? When I do that it bends my wrist too far which causes my pain. That's why I wear a loose brace on that hand at night. Loose because if I tighten it that causes its own problems. Linda Sand
  3. Lee, That sounds like you have carpal tunnel syndrome. I hope not. It takes forever to heal. Sometimes when I wear my wrist braces (for my tennis elbow not carpal tunnel) my fingers clamp down on them during the night which does indeed make things worse. If you can keep your hands relaxed it helps. I also have to rest my hands on a small pillow to keep them elevated but again that's because of my weird elbows--my arms don't come close to being straight. Linda Sand
  4. Scary stuff. We did the recalls plus installed the behind-the-frig fire extinguisher. No point in taking chances. So glad you are safe even if broke again. The more I think about this the more I wonder why it is costing you at all. Isn't this a Norcold problem? After all, they are the ones who chose to install a shutoff system instead of actually fixing the problem. It's still their problem, right? Linda
  5. Found a benefit of being back home--extended family gatherings. Ate well and learned a new game. Lots to be thankful for. Linda Sand
  6. It's hiding behind Soos'. You need to zoom way in to see it. Linda Sand
  7. On purpose, I hope. Our experience of not-on-purpose did not recommend doing that. Linda Sand
  8. We made it back to Minneapolis today but can't get into our apartment yet and don't own any furniture even if we could so we are, once again, at an Extended Stay America. In fact this is the same one we stayed in for a month while they finished building our house a dozen years ago. What is that saying? Something about the more things change, the more they stay the same? Linda Sand
  9. What a good liar you are but thanks for the compliment. It was really nice to see friends one more time before we head home since we KNOW none of you are going to come visit is this winter. I wish we'd had enough time and energy to go to dinner but once we finished at PPL we just wanted to go crawl in a hole and we still needed to haul everything in the car over to the motel where we could repack the car in a way that might actually get everything to fit in it. Our RV is now in the hands of PPL for better or worse. We knew they made their reputation for quick sales by underpricing their units but we were still surprised at how big a cut we took before they even listed it. Since we don't want to try to sell it ourselves, this is the price we decided to pay but it still hurts. Someone out there is going to get a VERY good deal. Linda
  10. We're in Livingston. We have a few days to clean and pack everything that's left. Have to find out if we get to leave stuff for the buyer. If not, we have some stuff that needs to find a home here. We'll have no use in the apartment for RV light bulbs, etc. Linda
  11. Hey! They make trailers that stack them. What? You haven't looked at those yet? Why not? Linda
  12. We're in Story City, Iowa. We only drove two hours today. It was too windy to be on the road and it's supposed to be windy again tomorrow so we'll stay here two nights. Went to Happy Chef for a late lunch and they had so many delicious sounding things on their menu we may go back again tomorrow. Maybe for more than one meal. Linda Sand
  13. See, staying put all summer is hazardous to mobility! Linda
  14. Well, we hit the road today after sitting all summer. It took a little gunning the engine to tear up the roots our wheels had put down. But, we are now heading south on our last trip as full timers. We move into our new apartment November 1st. Linda Sand
  15. Wow! That new baby outgrew newborn clothes before it was born! Glad to hear the mother is OK. Congratulations to the whole family. Lee, So good to hear you are still pain free. Yup, I'd stop carving when visitors show up, too. You've carved enough fingers already. You should enter some of your carvings in craft contests; I'm sure you'd win some prizes. I had trouble not walking out of your trailer with all of them when you showed them to us. Linda Sand
  16. It's a good thing we like this park since we are stuck here waiting for Oct 7th when Dave gets a new crown on the tooth he broke. Then it looks like we'll head down to Livingston on our way to PPL. Maybe. Probably. Possibly. Linda
  17. That way we can see where you are lost even though no one can identify where you are. Linda
  18. You all want to read the blog I just posted. Linda Sand
  19. Lee, Maybe your bursa was more swollen before you took all those meds. I hope that's the answer. Linda
  20. Ouch! Hope you can get some relief soon! Try to get something that doesn't restrict intake of cranberry juice. Linda
  21. I'm having flashbacks! It's a good thing both Steve and Dave are such good drivers they can recover from mistakes . Linda
  22. Maybe they thought you were like canoe outfitters who will provide everything if you pay enough. Linda
  23. I don't think there are anymore like you. I haven't yet decided if that's a good or a bad thing. Linda
  24. Welcome Jim and Jill to one of the most amusing groups you may ever join. I like the campfire stories you are already collecting so hope we get to hear some details some time. I'm sure we'll get to enjoy some of our previous stories again as you provide us a new audience for them. I suspect we'll spend most of the winter in Arizona again since we paid all that money to join CRA so need to get some return on our investment. I sure wish Steve would bring the ice cream machine with him. Think how much better we would like him then. . I'm sure glad he got rid of that gun, though. See there's already two stories we need to bring Jim and Jill up to date on. Bring on the campfire. Linda Sand
  25. Of course, that means you can't watch TV until after sunset which could be hard on some sports fans and those addicted to their "stories." Linda
