  1. Tell Terry we are all here for him if he needs anything we can provide. We're here for you too, of course, in case you need an outlet outside the family. Linda Sand
  2. If you want to take Jeri's dimes you have to learn to win at Spades. That's her game. Linda Sand
  3. Gotta get that travel timing right-- leave too soon you have to go back too early. I don't get to pick my leaving time this year; that will be determined by the timing of my RV build. After that though, I get to figure out how long I can be home with Dave without getting caught by weather. I suspect that will be my biggest challenge in the next few years. Linda Sand
  4. If I make it that far, I'll probably spend some time at Q although I may hang around more near Parker. Sidewinder works, too, if I stop off at Q on the way to and from Parker. But, I may stay in Texas all winter depending on how this solo bit really goes since it doesn't require nearly as much driving and I didn't even like riding through West Texas. Linda Sand
  5. That's another reason I'm glad I'm getting my RV; no more having to sit home while Dave goes to operating sessions in our only vehicle. Linda Sand
  6. All those hours driving to and from Texas to finalize plans for my new RV and I get home to discover I designed my desk to fit over the dually wheel cover so there's no place to put my feet! Back to the drawing board. Linda Sand
  7. We're on the road! Sort of. We're RVing! Sort of. We drove our car to Texas to finalize plans for my snowbird rig. We are now driving back to Minnesota. LONG drive for a 3 1/2 hour meeting but we accomplished so much in that meeting it was probably worth it. Now I just have to stay sane until October when we make the drive down again to pick up the rig. Then Dave gets to make the drive back to Minnesota alone and I get to Go RVing! Linda Sand
  8. Yes, please send money. Got a new RV to pay for. Non-traceable, of course. No sequential numbers. Wrinkle them up well before sending. Linda Sand
  9. So sorry to hear you are having to deal with this. I was one of the lucky ones that didn't get hacked but the fear until I was was cleared makes me understand just a tiny bit of what you are going through. Linda Sand
  10. Hey, I translated about half of that and understood a bit more from context. Not bad since high school was a LONG time ago! Linda Sand
  11. It's not the age; it's the computer. I am NOT getting old. OK, maybe I am but it's still the computer! Linda Sand
  12. Don, So did you buy a place with a small house or will you still be living in your RV when parked on your acreage in Mesa? Either way sounds like the right choice for you--and maybe some of the rest of us. Linda Sand
  13. Reminding him I am buying my own rig to leave Dave at home might help get him moving. Didn't work for me, though. And Dave isn't working. He just got tired of traveling. Traveling has it's own kind of work to it. Linda Sand
  14. I got tired of Escapees saying there were no new posts to this thread so I decided to click directly on it and here you all are. Sure glad to finally read everyone's news. Sounds like it's all good except for the heat many of us are experiencing. My good news is my van arrived inTexas a month early. My not as good news is that didin't move me up on the conversion schedule so it will probably still be mid October before I get it. I am so ready to start traveling again. Linda Sand
  15. Good luck with that. An author of a blog I read broke an egg on the asphalt pavement in Austin, TX, to see if it would fry. She was horribly disappointed. Linda Sand
  16. Plus, outdoor movies usually come with a large dose of mosquitoes! Maybe that wouldn't be as big a problem as it used to be now that I have some of those fan repellant thingies. Linda Sand
  17. If it's still hot then tell Jim not to put on the coat until the last minute then take it off again first chance. Heatstroke doesn't look good on anyone. OTOH, our daughter got married in a park and it was very hot and humid right up until midday the day of the wedding. Then the heat broke without accompanying showers and we had wonderful weather. So, there's no point worrying between now and then. Trust that all will go well. Linda Sand
  18. I went to one named New Panda Express recently and it was different. You buy a takeout box then fill it yourself. The only rule is it must close. They didn't have all my favorites but I came out OK--got three meals out of that box. Linda Sand
  19. Have you tried those dry silicone sprays? They lubricate without becoming dust catchers. Linda Sand
  20. So glad to hear Parker is better. I like salmon. You can send some to me. Huh, Toni is talking about us and we're actually going to get to find out what she said for a change. IYQ, Just as long as you don't vanish too long. We worry you know. Linda Sand
  21. Glad to hear only the deer got hurt. Things we can repair easier than repairing people. Linda Sand
  22. We helped get another niece married off this weekend. They fed us both Friday night and Saturday noon. Nice! The couple left today to go camping in the UP. I think they may be candidates for RVing many years from now. Linda Sand
  23. Sounds wonderful, Steve. Good negotiating. Linda Sand
