  1. I have stopped buying from Chewy, and told them it is because they ship FedEx. Their drivers are too lazy to bring it to my door 50ft away. Instead they leave it at my garage maybe 10 ft off the road. Big box says "CHEWY", very similar temptation to one saying "DELL". After a heated discussion with FedEx I was told their guidelines say if it makes it inside the property line, it's delivered. REALLY?? I now ask any vendor who they use, and buy elsewhere when I can.

  2. Speaking of cameras, trucks, etc but off topic. Here in MD we have speed cameras mounted in vehicles that sit on the side of the road, not cops. The clue is a porta-pot. When you see one, there may be one of these sitting just past it, if you know what to look for. They sit there for hours at a time taking photos, driver/sitter needs a break.

  3. Posted in HDT, only interest is there. I have a 2 compartment over-driver shell I don't need. Has good pivots & 3 springs 4th not broken. Also a sunvisor for same. Anybody who can use it pick up near Baltimore or pay shpg. PM me. Do I need to add "no low balls"  ???

    FECES! pic too big

  4. A little off topic- my fiver has valves  with cables to pull them. Everything discharges thru one line. Always being prepared for the worst, I bought a simple manual valve and installed it just before the exit in case one of the cables kinks, etc

  5. Tks for the replies! I posted this in HDT, I'd like to hear from them because there are several outfits that balk. Looked at Escapees, here's what kills them for me

"Regarding heavy-duty trucks: If your HDT also has sleeping quarters, it will need an additional policy. Per SafeRide’s guidelines, a vehicle with sleeping quarters is considered an RV; only one RV may be covered per policy."

  6. OK, Good Scam wants $149/yr so I  looked at Escapees program. Here's a quote

"Regarding heavy-duty trucks: If your HDT also has sleeping quarters, it will need an additional policy. Per SafeRide’s guidelines, a vehicle with sleeping quarters is considered an RV; only one RV may be covered per policy."

So what is the HDT community getting for Roadside now?

  7. I save all this stuff on emails between agents & me. I would email her with "here's my understanding of our conversation" and save her reply.

I'm still pushing the agent to get a definition of "MDT" . That's pretty  subjective, since there seems to be no direct definable correlation between that and the "class" system.

Ran into this same fecus bovum when dealing with MDDMV. "Once a tractor, always a tractor" . OK, so why is a converted schoolie no longer a passenger bus?
