  1. Lee, where does the coaxial plug in the cupboard go to...just the antenna? Roger
  2. You definitely need a change of scenery Lee. Hang in there buddy, Q is coming! Wishing you and all of the "Classless" out there happy Holidays and a merry Christmas! Roger
  3. There have been a few Packer games that I wished I hadn't seen this year...LOL! Roger
  4. I have it set up to receive an email when there's a new post. Then I click on the email's link to the message. Works every time! Roger
  5. Get the heck outta there Lee and safe travels! Our MH has been rockin' and rollin' since it woke me at 4:30 this a.m. Pouring rain too. Hope my slide out awnings are still attached...it's scary out there and I hope the dog can keep his legs crossed a bit longer...LOL!! Roger
  6. Way to go Stever! As one who has had more than his share of probs... I've come to believe that the majority of these things can be bad grounds. Of course the trick is running 'em down. We stopped in at the HWH mothership in Moscow, IA for a leaky leveler and they were great. Got us in as soon as we got there (a day early), only charged us $75 and we were outta there in a couple hours. Very friendly people too...as Iowans tend to be! R
  7. Is it me or has anyone else noticed that the "weather incidents" have gotten more frequent and severe around the U.S.? That being said...it would cool to watch a major storm roll in off the ocean! R
  8. Hope things "clear up" for your kids Jeri. And Steve, sounds like you and Carol better start gettin' further south...you don't wanna end up like the Donner party! Have any of you did the Win 10 upgrade and found that you didn't like it or found no advantages to the new format? Roger
  9. Unless you were living in Buffalo last winter...LOL! 1" of rain equals 1' of snow...
  10. I'm still getting up the nerve to pull the string myself. Waitin' on a rainy day to do it I guess. Maybe this weekend? Anyway, the guy leading the computer class said that he had no problem with his Dell pc but, his Toshiba needed to have some new drivers installed that he was able to download from their web site. He recommended doing an image back up of your hard drive before attempting just to be safe. Without the speed of a cable modem, I'm afraid that alone would take me days doing that to "the cloud". Perhaps I should look into getting an external hard drive after all to do that image? Roger
  11. By a "tad of the "Rempe disease", I hope that you mean it's gone for now? That disease can be very costly to cure and hang around for quite a while! Warm and sunny here in T...so, far that El Nino thing must be staying away for now and visiting Florida? Going to a computer class here in the park at 9:00. Want to pick the instructor's brain about that Windows 10 upgrade. Should I do it and how can he help me if I do and get "Rempe Disease" from it...LOL! Roger
  12. Jeff, what do ya say we both try somewhere dryer next year? Perhaps, away from the coastlines...seems to be a pattern at least for us! "Peyton who"...what have you got against the elderly... ! Roger
  13. Goin' on a houseboat trip with my ol' fishin' buddies in Canada this June but, I can be talked into another! R
  14. It's on our short list Linda. After following S & P's postings this summer not sure if I could handle the heat...however, "it's a dry heat"...LOL! Roger
  15. Let me know when you find that Dave...sounds like what we may be looking for. Oh, and Lynn (being a retired nurse) insists on competent health care nearby. I'd like a pontoon boat but, it might be hard to float that in the desert! Roger
  16. We're headed to the Mission area next month Dave...I'll keep Diane posted on the wind there...LOL! Roger
  17. Bet it's that "El Nino" brat Jeff! Nice and sunny here in Port Aransas (for now). I think that the temps are about normal (high 60's). Now if someone could find that fan switch to shut off the wind...LOL! Roger
  18. Yer welcome Jeri! There's something outside that's blinding me as I write this. I kinda remember something called "the sun". I think it may be it!! Roger
  19. Had something similar with our 2009 Wrangler except the windows wouldn't go down. At least they were up but, we couldn't leave our Willie in the Jeep (by cracking the windows) even though it wasn't hot out. Ended up getting the meal to go. Latter that afternoon it started to work again. Hasn't done it since but, waiting on a repeat. Thinkin' a loose/corroded ground or the ol' Gremlins! Rolled into our December digs here in Port Aransas, TX. Immediately we noticed a big difference. Since leaving the Hyders and Williams we've been staying in parks that are about 90% workers. Never really talked to anyone cuz they were at work or asleep. Nice parks but it was like staying in a ghost town! Here it's full of Winter Texans and plenty of activities. Should be fun...especially if the sun ever comes out! Finding that El Nino and Texas is a bad combo...LOL! Roger
  20. I'd be annoyed too! Sounds like the "tech" may have deleted more than data? Roger
  21. Jeri, was he trying to restore to a new PC using Carbonite? Here's what they have to say about that: " You can restore your crashed or repaired PC with Carbonite's Mirror Image service to recover your backed up operating system, programs, settings, and data. This feature is intended only for use on the same PC that the backup was performed on. Using this on a different PC can cause conflicts because of the different systems' hardware configurations and the drivers that they require to run properly." I have accidently deleted files and had no problem restoring them with the click of the mouse. The main thing that I like about Carbonite is that I don't have to manually back up (and remember to do it). Also, let's say you have a fire or someone steals your equipment. Unless you keep a backup in a separate location you'll be out of luck. I may not be able to restore the programs onto the new PC but, the data can be restored. Lyn, I can't say how much data it would eat up on your air card. It would depend on how much or what you have it set up to do. We are fortunate that we are grandfathered into Verizon's unlimited data plan and don't moniter it. It works for us but, maybe not all! John (heyduke) may have better ideas/experiance on this. Roger
  22. Thanks duke and so does any team that faces Iowa! If you caught one of their games this season, you would have to come away impressed by how balanced they are on defense and offense. They have a run game AND a pass game to go with it. They're the little train that could! Roger
  23. I'm dreading that day too Jeri. In the past I had a high speed cable modem to work with. Now I'm at the mercy of wifi. My Asus laptop is four years old and hopin' for more. In the past when they got that age I'd get a new one and give the old one to my kids after a good hard drive cleaning. BTW...my Iowa Hawkeyes are a school record 12-0 and headed to the Big 10 Champ game! Takes a bit of last night's Pack sting away. GO HAWKS!!! Roger
