  1. Well said Jerry...two of the biggest characters that I know! And R. Walter, you should drift over to AZ in Jan. and meet the rest of the crew... It's a fun bunch! Roger
  2. After rereading your previous post Lee, I see that I'd apparently not had enough coffee this a.m. I think that you have my contact info so, please let your Niece and Nephew know that my offer applies to them too! Rest up if you can and get your strength back. Roger
  3. Lee, are you headed to the HWH factory in Moscow, Iowa? If so, how long do you plan on being there? Lynn and I are back in the Quad Cities (which is not very far from Moscow) visiting old friends and doctors. It sounds like you're on a tight schedule but, maybe we could get together for a visit if time allows. Also, if you need any help or info on the area, please let us know!
  4. Glad you had a safe travel. How's the pollen there? LOL! R
  5. Glad to hear that the seizures are lessening Lee. Kleenex's eh? You must be suffering from all the pollen like we are? Never used to bother us but, it's been a problem since Texas. We keep moving north with the pollen season. Roger
  6. Well Lee, we're still hoping that you can pull that "escapee" act and put this behind you! However, some new scenery and new cowgirls at the assisted living might due the trick too. We're pulling for ya pardner!! Roger & Lynn
  7. We resemble Jeff's remark...we've made reservations at Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort in Casa Grande from Oct. 15 to Jan. 15. After running around the U.S. the rest of the year, we thought that we'd give a "staycation" a shot this winter so we can catch our breath. Have never sat in one place for that long so, it should be interesting. We'll have good company with Dave & Diane! After that I wouldn't mind a change from Q and perhaps Yuma? Jeff, you and Tina sure have been in a rain zone these past months...maybe some pontoons for your rig?!! And good luck with that genny. That reminds me to give ours a little exercise. Roger
  8. Lee, Like Jeri and others, we were wondering why we haven't been seeing any posts from you. Hoping that your recovery is a quick one so that we can see you this Fall. Please keep us updated...we think about about you often. Roger & Lynn
  9. That's poor campground etiquette on their part! We just rolled into the SKP at Branson, Mo and fortunately we don't need the extra step for now. But, some places can be a real stretch. It's not so much the money thing although it is kinda. We'd just bought it this past year after the last one broke. It's more that now I can't say that "I've never had anything stolen in a campground". I suppose that I should consider ourselves lucky until now. R
  10. Collapsible eh? That's a great idea Linda and it would come in handy if you broke down on the roadside. I like multi-function! R
  11. They advertise four sites but, in reality there's only room for two and you'd have to get creative parking the second rig. That being the case, there was one motor home that was there dry camping for the night that was gone when we returned. It was an expensive big rig and don't suspect them but, you never know. Since it's in a high traffic area, I think it's likely that it was others. There's a pond and playground nearby which might attract somebody. You have a safe and fun trip back to Washington! R
  12. Well, it finally happened. I've been "camping" for about 55 years And for the first time we had items stolen from our site (other than the beer that seems to disappear outta the cooler)! Not sure if staying at an Elks qualifies as a campground however. We pulled into the Fayetteville Elks Monday and after awhile I noticed a diesel odor and looked under the rig. Sure enough, there was a 12" wide puddle and a very slow drip. Made an appointment to replace a hose and of course getting repairs on the road is always an adventure in it's self and that's another story. After backing out of the site we placed our folding table and portable entry step in the middle to let others know that it's occupied. After the all day fun and driving in 5:00 traffic we returned to find our site unoccupied but missing said items. They did leave us the door mat but, must've really needed those $100 steps. Glad I didn't set out more items! On to Branson tomorrow. Sounds like there's a lot of moving going on out there...stay safe! Roger
  13. Give the creatures on Bourbon Street my best...LOL! And watch out...they're all coming off of Lent!! R
  14. Steve, We're glad to hear that Carol is doing well after gettin' that pesky gall bladder out. Being that it was St Paddy's Day I couldn't help but wonder if that g.b. was green...ouch! Roger
  15. We'll be at Chatfield St Pk July 29 - Aug 4. Then we'll be at Nathrop, CO (Chalk Creek CG) for a week where our youngest is getting married. Haven't figured the before and after yet!
  16. Only 30 miles but, it seemed like 40...LOL! After we get to Austin we'll start picking up the pace north. Not as fast as you guys however...you're really racking up those frequent driver miles...ha! We got a lot of bluster last evening from wind, lightening and rain but, now it's just windy and cold. Nice campground here and still full with Winter Texans and Spring Breakers I think.
  17. We were at the HWH factory last year...great service and didn't charge us for things that they could have. Glad that you came out on top Lee! Make sure that Jeri and Terry give you an extra hug from Lynn and me!!
  18. I'm thinkin' the West is the best...it's AZ for us.
  19. That's where I'm thinkin'...this gulf life is dangerous to one's well being! It's supposed to hit us about 2:00 a.m. Looks like I can expect a dog shivering on my head tonight. R
  20. Not unless they ban us from AZ! Joe, that's a heckuva story...makes me feel a bit better about those tree branch marks I put on the MH's clearcoat pulling in today. Hoping that some elbow grease with polishing compound will take care of it. I've heard that WD40 might work. Anyone tried that? Roger
  21. That makes more sense...LOL! After two months we're finally on the move north today. Roger
