GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch gets his first start today against the Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately I won't be able to watch it. I don't have the NFL ticket on Directv and there isn't any over the air tv where we are located. I do have the NFL network though.

Speaking of hurricanes...Jeff, I think that it was nearly a year to the day that we both were ducking to get outta the way of Hurricane Joaquin. I'm sure glad that we're not doing that part of the country again. I can put up with some 90's here in AZ...at least it's a dry heat...LOL! Also, glad to see that none of the Classless are out that way.
Linda and Ed, congrats on your granddaughter's wedding...the pics were very nice!

It was a year ago today that we got to St. Augustine. So glad we did it last year. Hope the best for everyone in hurricane Mathew's path. On the west coast this year and we've seen a lot of gray skies and drizzle/rain over the past week or so. Saw some sunshine today.
Linda and Ed looks like that was a fun wedding. I really liked the super hero's shirts too.

Woke up to more rain this morning. While we are in Florence, Or. I wanted to go ride quads on the dunes but not in the rain. We move on tomorrow going down toward Port Orford, Or. for the weekend. It's suppose to be nice weather starting tomorrow through the weekend. We'll move on next Monday and try to stay out of the rain on the way south.

Aahhh the Oregon coast. It has been gray and rainy since last week with a few bits of sunshine. Suppose to get nicer starting Thursday for a few days. We hope so. Our dog Cali really likes the beach. She just runs and runs and runs but is not a water dog. She does not like the waves. We were hoping the weather would be better than our time here in the early summer 2012. Not so much. It's raining right now. Yuck!

Good Morning Jeri and everyone. We have cloudy skies here in Clarkston, WA but no rain. Need to keep moving further south towards the sunshine. Hope everyone has had a wonderful summer.
Sandie - If you are still in Clarkston go over to Lewiston to a place called Effies Tavern. The biggest burger you'll ever eat. Tina and I shared one and it was very good too.

We are near Florence, Oregon on the coast. It has been cool to cold, gray skies and off and on rain today. We may have waited to late to go down the coast and have good weather. Kind of reminding me of when we went up the coast back in early summer of 2012. Gray and drizzle most of the time.

Well, well, well ... best laid plans. We discovered at our birthday dinner with the family that our son is scheduling surgery in October. We'll get the date this Friday. Thus, we're thinking all these great plans we made for the first of October might go up in smoke. I'm not sure how good that would be if we took off no matter how minor the surgery.
Do you know when you are heading south?

Went to the Tillamook Cheese factory yesterday afternoon. Imagine, we bought some cheese and ate some ice cream. LOL! Then took the puppy (Cali) to Ocean Beach. We walked along the beach while she got to run around.
Check off another year. 5 years ago today we sold the house and went fulltime. Who knows when it will end.

It's starting to cool off here at just under 9000' in Colorado. But the colors are great!! I think it's time to start a slow move south.
We are moving to Tillamook, Or. today then we'll be heading south for the winter. See y'all in Arizona!

We may go to West Edmonton Mall tomorrow, after all, we are here.
We went to the mall back in 2012 after visiting you and Doug at Monck Provincial Park. Don't forget to wear your walking shoes. You can go to the waterpark or even the ice rink inside of the mall. It's a big place.

We stayed at the Elks too and made reservations the day before for the Antelope Canyon tour online. One tour drove people out there from town, we drove there ourselves.
The Horse Shoe bend in the river is a bit of a hike to get to it from the parking lot. Up and down a hill.

We had a very good time with Jeri and Terry this past weekend seeing some of the local sites and where they live when in the PNW. I know I ate too much too.

Steve - It sure can be one adventure after another. I think you are handling them well. You don't get these kind of adventures sitting in one place for a long time. LOL!
Had dinner with Jeri and Terry last night and did a lot of talking. There will be more tomorrow.

Steve - What a PITA. Best of luck with the repairs.
For all you wine drinkers if you've never been to Walla Walla, Washington, you are missing it. We picked up a magazine at the visitor center and there is a map in it showing 27 tasting rooms in downtown Walla Walla. It is a nice college town and easy walking distance from the Elks Lodge too.

That was a punch to the gut. Thank you Jeri for passing that along. Speechless for now. Sending good thought's to him and his family.

Thanks for the update Jeri but it's not what any of us wanted to hear. Roger said it well.

I've been thinking about Lee too. Sure hope he's doing better.
We made it to Branson yesterday. Nice drive I-40 East to Fort Smith, then up to Fayetteville where we spent the night at Walmart. It was a good driving day and now we are settled at the Turkey Creek SKP park for a week. Hard thing now is figuring out which show to go and see. Steve
Steve check out Branson Landing too. It's like a mile from the rv park. The Fountains and Flame and a lot of shopping and places to eat.

We finally signed the closing papers on the house in Billings so no more drive way parking for us. Thank goodness.
Congratulations!! Did I hear a sigh of relief coming from Montana. LOL.

Steve - Repairs are such fun. LOL. Glad that is over for you and you'll soon be back on the road. Which way you going?
Roger - Sorry to hear about Willie. Get well soon buddy.
I towed the Jeep going west to east over Wolf Creek pass. I stopped once to get the transmission temps down to where I like it. It was back up there once I reached the top but it cooled quickly going down the other side.

Jerry,
I've read about him for years. A real innovator and fabricator in the sport of drag racing. That's really cool.

Happy Anniversary Freddy and Delcie!!!!!!!! 44 years and counting. That's cool.

That really is cool when you run into old acquaintances. Did you two recognize each other right away? Some people hardly change and others look like they were rode hard!

When I moved from the neighborhood he was 13 or 14, so he has changed. When I mentioned my name he remembered right a way, even my first car. I had heard from another friend years ago that Richard raced jet cars but our paths never crossed until Friday. It was good.

Yesterday Tina and I went to the drag races at Firebird Raceway near Boise, Idaho. I needed my fix, I miss my racing. I didn't know until the end of the night when the jet cars were about to run I heard his name. Richard Smith. I had not seen this guy for nearly 45 years. He was a neighbor during my early teen years and he is younger than me. Small world we live in anymore. We found him in the pit area and talked for 15 minutes or so. He and his mother live in Oregon now instead of Kansas where I last saw him. That was really cool. A great ending for a fun night.

Let us know where, when and how long? We're thinking we may just be going through that area.
Making a big move tomorrow of about 20 miles for a week. Not sure when we'll get to Coeur d'Alene yet. Another week or two. Would be great to see y'all again. If not here maybe in Portland.

Jeff, there is a great Elks Club in Coeur d' Alene. They are electric and water with no dump on site, but the place is really nice. There is a dump not too far from there. Steve
Thanks Steve. We did stay there 2 years ago for a couple of weeks. Plan to do a lot of bike riding again, many paved trails. It's just pretty there with the lake and all.

Sue in spring 2008 my Brother and I had to go down to the RGV to get Dad. When we got back to my house in Denver we told Dad he wasn't going his home but to an assisted living house. We waited until then because we weren't sure how he'd take it. He was relieved. Someone would be there to help him with things. Best of luck.

Looks like my Broncos aren't going to farewell today. Bummer.
