While I kinda agree with you I don't.  Your 100 percent is only good at a VA facility.  If you are several hundred miles from a VA facility when you have let's say a massive heart attack.  Do you want to get handed a bill after the local EMT's transport you to the local hospital?  Are you going to say take me someplace free I will take the chance that I live until I reach there?  And when you get there are you sure that the Doc who is treating you has not killed 10 other people and the VA was his last chance?  Pay the $108 a month and thank God you live in a country that gives you those choices.  I went from $237 a year for Tricare Prime for the DW to $2592 for the both of us a year.  Yes it rubs me wrong as well but $2592 a year for 100 percent medical insurance including drugs is a whole lot cheaper than most folks are paying.  I know folks paying that a month and that is after they pay the first 5-10K out of pocket.  It's a good deal just go with it.  Take some more BP med's and let it go.

  2. TFL is based on the sponsors status.  If you as the sponsor (ie retired member) decline to take part B of Medicare which is the part you pay for  ($108 a month now I believe) then your wife/husband is not eligible for TFL.  Everyone is eligible for Part A at no cost to the individual.  In my case I am 67 and have never used Medicare because the VA provides all my medical needs.  However if I did not sign up for the part B  in Medicare and start paying the $108 a month then the wife was not eligible for TFL.  So I pay the $108 every month and have for 2 years and never used it.  But I have it incase during our travels I need a Doctor  and I am not close to a VA facility.

The last place I am keeping a copy of all my passwords is on a smart phone or a computer that is ever hooked up to the internet.  I don't care what you have ever heard or read that encryption can and is broken every day.  The best way to get you to give it up is by convincing you that it cannot be done.  That is called disinformation and the world is full of it.  What you see is only what I want you to think that you see.

  4. To each their own but if folks think that this is the first time someone has got your Name, SSN BD etc  and somehow not giving them the last 6 is going to keep you safe well then I got a bridge for sale that I would like to talk to you about.  I agree with Linda, we did not give them this info but they sure as hell have it and those are just the facts.  I have enrolled both the DW and I and could care less about given up the last 6 of my SSN.  This is the world we live in today and weather we like it or not it is the one we are forced to deal with.

  5. We had a RK in our 40' 1995 double slide Newmar Kountry Aire and never had a problem. We had so much storage space in the kitchen we took out a set of doors and had a DW installed. Lots of counter space. The dinning table was right across from the kitchen so the DW had even more counter space if she need it. Our 2004 39' triple slide Newmar Kountry Aire had the center kitchen with the island. I always liked the RK better.

  6. We are here at the American World Hotel and RV Resort in the Wisconsin Dells until the 30th of October. Was planning on leaving tomorrow but decided to stay until the end of October and enjoy the fall foliage. Went to the Circus World Museum yesterday in Baraboo, WI and really enjoyed it. Got some good info on a great meat market down in New Glarus, WI that makes a veal sausage and a cheese shop down in Juda, WI. So we will be making a road trip in the smart to stock up before heading for Nebraska in October.

  7. Well it's official Linda is now eligible to join the RDBE club. While we have been in Nebraska Linda has started to drive Brutus. She has taken him on several drives out through the farm country as well as our home town of Geneva. She has not driven him hitched to the 5ver yet but I am sure that will come in time. She could not believe how easy he is to drive. I don't look for her to drive him much towing and with us getting the smart she will probably not drive him a lot but at least she now knows that he is not that difficult to drive and in a pinch she could drive him even hooked up.
