  1. Shawn,

my contact was Mark Walkosz at Morgan and he is in AZ but we did it all online.

    MarkWalkosz@morgancorp.com

When I told him I was going to add solar panels on top of this box he added three extra support for me.   Morgan does have a good website to look at everything.

  2. I ordered a new box for my truck thru Morgan Corp. I had it mounted in Corsicana, Texas. Photo 1 is my old drom box, Photo 2 is with the old box removed. Photo 3 is where I had to remove the deck on my truck down to the frame for instillation.  Photo 4  and 5 are the new box mounted.  It now has a side door instead of a rear door.

  3.     That is the dry weight. You need to add the weight of: the two of you, your gear (this is about 1000# per person), propane, water, tools, and the hitch,

I find many people do not think about mirrors with rigs like yours. If you can not see the red marker light on the side of the trailer, at the back, you do not have the correct mirrors.

Best of luck and happy camping

  4.    All is a GO for us to be at the rally.

We are in Portland, OR. now. Leaving Friday for Caldwell. My truck is slow, but I thank I can make it. lol

Last week we were in Caldwell. We were passing through, but had brake problems and parked over night at the Truck Stop at the exit for Ambassador RV park. I got permission to use the Rodeo Arena parking lot, just down the street and replaced the brake backing plate and all.

The next exit West of the exit for Ambassador has a Maveric Fuel Stop, with satellite pumps and cheep fuel. ($1.89 I think)

  5. "Free and low cost Campgrounds" By Wright Guide (Don and Joyce Wright) We have use these guides since 1997 when we started camping.

We stay in Rest Areas most of the time when we are traveling. Wal-Mart and Cabela's is our second choice.  Major Travel Plazas (Truck Stops) are a last resort. We find it hard to rent a RV spot for one night.

  6. Runaway parents

Regret hearing you can not use your rig. In the central US RV life in near normal. We just don't go shopping. I need several things for projects, but they can wait. We go get needed supplies and then stay in RV or around the CG.

We left AZ. first part of March. Four weeks in TX. one week in KS. and next week in MO.

Hope you can get out soon. RV travel is good because you don't get close to people.

We are looking forward to the WCR.

Good to hear you are working. Well, not the work, but the $$$$$ helps keep America moving.

  7.    The wet tank is the first one to fill from the compressor. That is why there is more liquid in it. The previous owner may have put "Air Dry" in the system to prevent the brakes freezing up in winter, and that is what you drained out.

If you pull the cable to the side it should release air and liquid from that tank.

If you drain the wet tank after a short run and there is a lot of liquid, it is possible the rings are bad in the Air Compressor and it needs to be replaced.

  8. I use Bridgestone tires. The only blowout I ever had was a Toyo. It was the right front tire at about 75mph. I didn't have power steering. No Toyo for me.

I tryed beads to balance, but they don't work. I found out that they make lug nuts with a shoulder on them. The shoulder goes between the wheel and the bolt. This centers the wheel. It stopped my vibration. I have two on each front wheel. Opposite from each other. There is two sizes of nuts, one for single and one for duel wheel. The duel nut will also center the brake drum on the front.

  9.    In interest in keeping this thread at the top of the page, I thought I would post again.

The Escapees RV club has printed two articles in their magazine that I wrote. Nov/Dec. 2013 is the first one. Jan/Feb 2020 is the last one. I also have an e-book "Driving you RV safely". Check these out and you will have an idea of what the seminar will be like.

This is my first WCR. One of my students have already sighed up for the rally.

  10.   I am just guessing here, but I think you can raise the jacks by removing the bolts lifting it up and re bolting it.  You may need to use blocks under the jack foot because it may not touch the ground. I made jack blocks with wood 2x4's. I cut them one foot long. They are 3 boards wide and three and four boards high. You put 3 one way and 3 the other way. I use 2 1/2 in wood screws to attach them. The shorter the jack ram go out the more stable the trailer will be.

  11.    Hi

Looking forward to meeting all of ya'll.

Diane and I will be first timers at the WCR. I have been giving seminars at Boot Camp for 5 years. I am going on to other things now. I teach RVer to drive safely. I am a Class-A CDL instructor in OH.

Diane does craft stuff and makes Banana Bread to kill for.
