noteven
And you could install a curtain side to keep road debris and winter slop and eyes off what is being hauled on the deck. And you can use the deck as a stage for the impromptu garage band that showed up to play The problem with toy hauler garage payloads is if they are RV style with the axles halfway up the trailer so the pin weight doesn't flatten the pick up truck is stable weight distribution with and without loads in the garage. A teeter totter (RV config) is more difficult to weight and balance correctly than a beam (normal semi trailer with wheels back where they belong) Quote "Are we there yet?" asked no motorcycle rider, ever. grinder
This setup is more common in off road campgrounds than most realize. Difficult part of buying used truck campers is finding one to fit your pickup bed. This way any truck camper will work and even put storage boxes, generator, etc. in fender wells. Put a wooden or steel frame over back off road rig and when camping hang a tarp over the frame to shed sun and rain.
