itgeekgal
I received email notice that AlieraCare is moving from UnityHealthshare to Trinity for their specialty/hospital component and my monthly rate would increase $110 a month. i received a second email from OneShare offering to honor my coverage to date through AlieraCare for a premium $50 less a month for equivalent coverage. Is anyone else out there being effected by AlieraCare’s change and if so what did you do? Thanks in advance for advice. KHenson
I just happened to receive a phone call from a regional VP at AlieraCare today. Here is what has happened in a nutshell. A "disgruntled employee" at AlieraCare left Aliera and allegedly took the member database (along with other items) and launched OneShare and undercut their pricing to attract Aliera members to move to OneShare. There is a legal battle underway right now, the details of which I am not privy to but revolve around this former Aliera employee's actions. AlieraCare has been around for 8 years and has about 200k members and OneShare has about 50k members and is obviously newer. So, it's a judgement call for you really. Both use the same PHCS nationwide network. Kyle Henson, Fulltime RVer since 2011 Founder/Former Owner of RVer Insurance Exchange
