PB&J
We have driven from Santa Rosa to Eureka several times while working as camp hosts in Salt Point SP (about 45 min N of Bodega Bay). The route we followed in our 40' MH with toad was fine except the Jenner grade has some hairpins and switchbacks. Just to play safe, we disconnected the car in Bodega Bay and put it in the lead so the MH driver would know about any oncoming traffic on the Jenner grade to Fort Ross turns- we used walkie talkies as cell coverage there is very spotty - just take your time, it is a beautiful place. P.M. us if you want to know more about what to see and where to park on the Bodega Bay to Eureka stretch. We have also taken route 20 to Willits and 101 to Eureka. Then route 299 to Redding and I-5 on a trip to Lava Beds NM, Crater Lake and Lassen Volcanic NP. SWharton
Thanks for the offer. We will start planning next year in a few months. We wanted to make sure this portion of the trip was doable.
