Gary Cunningham
I've seen, in the distant past, a company that receives broken "T" style latches (plastic) and replaces the broken plastic shaft with a metal shaft. Can't find it now that I need it. Anybody remember where that company is? ronmon
Most "real" hardware stores sell the square metal material & it's an easy fix. Ron

Gary Cunningham
Judie, I just ordered 4 rebuild kits from them. Thanks for the contact! This isn't the one I had seen years ago, they didn't offer a rebuild kit, and you had to send them your broken latch. This one is much better! For RonMon: Could you explain how you make a metal shaft for the latch? ronmon
Buy a square metal rod of the correct size, cut it to length with a hacksaw. drill a hole for the pin to attach it to the "T" handle & put the latching arm on it at the correct location. (of course put it through the door before adding the latch arm), I did this to fix a couple of them for a fellow RV'er. Yours may be different. In this particular application the plastic "rod" had broken. Ron
