  1. Happy Birthday Terry. We're in VA and like Jeri said - the humidity is enough to do you in. I won't feel dry again until we get back west. Jim's so excited about having seafood tonight for dinner.
  2. Lee, I spend a lot of time sitting in our truck reading while Jim is in the hardware store or the auto parts store. All part of the job. tee hee We're in Fairlea, WV tonight at the fairgrounds.
  3. We're still headed east. At the fairgrounds in Gallipolis, OH. Almost into almost heaven West Virginia. Glad to hear that folks are about done with whatever chores and ready to move out. Be safe out there.
  4. Lee, it only got up to 63 here in Lima, OH today. I agree - that is cold. So I'm inside where it's nice and cozy. We didn't even unhitch today so we don't have to spend that much time outside in the morning.
  5. Lyn - I am so sorry we missed you guys. Darn.
  6. Jeri - we are in Iowa tonight and Illinois tomorrow night. I'm not looking forward to the heat and humidity in VA but family is calling. The weather was really great in South Dakota (except for the WIND when the cold front came through).
  7. Spent the night at the fairgrounds in Sioux Falls, SD last night. Met up with Nan and John and your ears must have been burning cause we talked until 10:30. On to Iowa today.
  8. Happy Birthday Steve. You are getting old but remember, you're still younger than Jim. Enjoy your day.
  9. Congrats Toni - we are lovin' life on the road also. We'll start our 7th year in January. Roger and Lynn - so sorry to hear about your problems with the Beav. Hope it's something that can be fixed easily. Lee - I just can't believe you'd rather go eat with Jeri than come work with us!
  10. Hey Lee - come on up to Billings and we'll put you to work pulling down siding and putting up new siding. Or how about putting together a new shed. Or making new gates for a fence. Or . . . No thumb twiddling going on here.
  11. Lee - I think Jeri and I did such a good job of training everybody that now we can just turn you loose and just hope for the best. We're in Billings in the rain and cold. Only got up to 57 today and it was windy so felt even colder. This is not helping Jim and Todd get any hail repair work done on the house.
  12. Just had a fantastic visit with Roger and Lynn. They are headed to Missoula tomorrow and we leave for Billings on Thursday. If we can remember how to hitch up that is.
  13. Happy Anniversary you guys. Can hardly wait to see you again.
  14. So good to hear from you guys. We know exactly what you mean about the big C. Jim was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2012. He had surgery and had part of his left lung removed.(He actually ended up having four surgeries that year). Still has to go back every six months for check ups but like you said - so far so good. Where are you guys at? Where are you planning your trips for? We're in Montana and headed for Virginia in September. We'll be back in Arizona in November. Sure wish we could meet somewhere sometime. Prayers and hugs are being sent your way. Please keep in touch. Sandie
  15. I just heard from Jeri and she is back on the mainland.
  16. I agree - only Jeri. Sure wish she could get on a plane.
  17. Linda - when will you find out about the Valley Fever? My friend Dianna has been fighting it for two years now but is feeling much better.
  18. Jeff and Tina - I am so sorry about Megan. But you did the very best thing for her and you did it with love. My heart goes out to you because it is a sad time but soon you'll be able to remember all the wonderful special memories you created with her. Hugs to both of you from both of us.
  19. We'll be here in Helena for another three weeks then go to Billings to help repair a hail damaged house. But on September 2 - we are out of there. I can hardly wait.
  20. Did it stay running? Are you still going to head to Idaho Falls to have it checked out?
  21. The Lavins have arrived - yippee!! Had a good time visiting with them today and showing them some of the town. Jim and Ed are going fishing tomorrow. At 5:00 a.m. It's in the low 90's here with thunderstorms every evening. Mother Nature doing her own fireworks.
  22. So sorry to hear about this. I bet Harley didn't have any idea what she was doing. Sure hope Tina's hand is okay so you can move on.
  23. No snow up here yet but it's been really cold and rainy. No fishing yet for Jim. I think we came back too early.
  24. Lee - having folks around to take care of you is one of the best blessings ever. I found that out with all of Jim's problems. Love the family we have formed in AJ. However, I know about that struggle to make the stupid bed by yourself. I'd have to start in the morning and hopefully by that night I might hav3e the sheet on. What a pain.
  25. Linda - also check out Devil's Elbow Campground as well as Black Sandy Campground. They are all kind of in the same area. Also, when we lived in Kalispell and came to Helena, we always went down the east side of Flathead Lake and through Swan Lake to Seeley Lake (Highway 83). When you get to the big cow you turn left on highway 200 til you get to Highway 141 to Avon. At Avon turn left on Highway 12. It's one of the most beautiful drives in Montana. Well, at least I think so. If you decide to come down through Missoula be sure to obey the speed limit cause you are on Reservation land and they are really strict. As you get close to Helena you will go over McDonald Pass but it's an easy drive if you take it easy coming down this side of it. When you come into Montana you are going to pass a school on your right just before a curve. If you look to your right just past the school you will see our rig parked up a small hill on the side of the road. Sure looking forward to seeing you guys. I'm going to be checking out some karaoke places in the next couple of days.
