  1. Jeri - I did a happy dance when I saw that on the weather report tonight. I'll be looking for snow on the Superstitions in the morning. Happy New Year Everyone.
  2. Going to be back into the 70's by next week.
  3. Jeri - we're headed for Algodones before we go to Q so we'll check out the limoncello. However, I have no idea what it is.
  4. Eric - if you're really nice you just might be able to stretch that margarita night into both nights you're there.
  5. Tina and Jeff - We are so sorry to hear about Sadie. Losing these furkids hurts so bad and my heart aches for you. With Scooter's heart and back problems, I know our time will be approaching. So very very sad. Sending you lots of love and hugs.
  6. Had dinner at Garcia's with Eric and Karla. Been a long time since we've seen them so we had a lot of catching up to do. We talked about all of you and I'm pretty sure we didn't leave anybody out. They plan on joining the group in Q for a couple of nights.
  7. Carol - did you guys get out of the lot? Sure hope so. Steve - if there's no GM part number he won't let them use it. That's a given.
  8. Won't be the same without you guys. Good luck with the guarding job and maybe you can get to a town somewhere to post once in a great while.
  9. Jeri and Terry - so sorry to hear about Duchess but I also know you will make the right decision for her no matter how hard it is. Give her a big hug from me. We are certainly going to miss her.
  10. Xnman - that is such great news. I also heard from my friend Peter today and his news was as good as yours. I love these kinds of days. Sure hoping our news is the same next week after Jim's PET scan. Now you can get back to planning some of those wonderful trips after the winter is over. Yippee. Carol, I'm sure keeping my fingers crossed that you guys get out of that parking lot.
  11. Linda - just relax and enjoy your stay at Rainbow. You have lots of time to decide what you want to do. Cheryl - What week will you guys be in Q? Its been forever since we've seen you guys and would love to catch up again.
  12. Had dinner tonight with Carol A & Doug. Good to see them again before they hopefully move down to Tucson this week.
  13. We're back in Apache Junction. Drove 400 miles today which is something we never do but when we got to Holbrook the wind was really kicking up and they were talking about 50 mph winds tomorrow and maybe some snow. Amazing what incentive that is to just keep going and get down into the valley. It's 94 down here but tomorrow should be a little cooler. Had a fantastic summer but glad to be back in the desert.
  14. Jeff and Tina - so very very sorry about Harley. Such a tough thing for us humans when we lose those furkids who have given us so much love. Hugs from Skittlez and Scooter.
  15. Carol - we're thinking we should be back in AJ around the first week of November. We're still in Virginia so really don't know for sure. But we will definitely catch up with you guys when we get there.
  16. Freddy - so now do you get to practice all those Steve'zzzzzzz that seem to be going around? Happy Birthday.
  17. Roger and Lynn - I am so sorry to read about all the issues you guys are having. Sometimes it just feels like nothing can or does go right. I sure hope they get everything fixed for you. Carol and Steve - Congrats on the new rig. Looking forward to seeing it when we're all back in AZ. Travel safe. What would we do without our friends. Sure glad that Mike and Deb were close by to help out. Never a dull moment. Toni and Doug - safe travels on your journey south. Don't know any places around Santa Fe, so I can't help you out.
  18. Our West has definitely got to include Q or Mesa or both!!!
  19. Great advice Lee. Wish I had heard that when we first started. We tore up the roads our first year. Couldn't quit thinking in vacation mode. Not anymore. I was so excited to get on the road that we left town with me in a cast and wheelchair and Jim having to do everything. That was six years ago and we haven't looked back. Good luck and keep us advised on how things are going.
  20. We also switched from Walmart to Walgreens and it has been so much better. Toni - I am so excited and happy for you. What's a little snow when you are reuniting with family. We are parked in our friends driveway in Virginia and are having a fantastic time.
  21. Linda - you definitely need to stay safe. And driving in wind is something we don't do. Xnman - Cancer definitely does give you an appreciate of this world and everything in it. Good times with the kids but I agree - the camper is home and I love it.
  22. xnman - know what you mean about those doctors tying you down. This is the first time in a couple of years that we've actually been able to go anywhere. Hope you are getting the medical stuff out of your life so you can get out there and explore some more of this beautiful country.
  23. We moved a whole 33 miles south today to Mechanicsville, VA. We are in our friends driveway for a couple of days. Catching up on all the latest.
  24. Mike and Deb - be sure to go to the smoke jumpers school while you're in Missoula. And the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. They had record heat up there yesterday. Who knows - may be snowing by the week-end.
