  1. HAHAHAHAHA actually there are 3 of us, ME, MYSELF, and I. That's it for this trip. However RUMOR has it that I will have a visitor while I'm in Pahrump. Joe
  2. I'm finally on the road again. Made it clear over to Pt. Townsend Elks. Talk about wind, did not really think the Ferries would be running today because of it. However even though it was a "Rockin an Rollin" ride, here I am. Now to see if I can get that pesky Pin to move and keep up with me. Planning a couple of long days to try and get out of the bad weather THEY are predicting up here in the PNW. Hope Jeri and Terry are anchored down. Look out Nevada, Jose is on the loose and headed your way. Joe
  3. Ok, I need to do a bit of a rant today. I was supposed to go to Loma Linda Medical University in early November for a checkup. Needed to use their Ronald McDonald parking lot for a night. This is something that has been available to RV'ers for many years now, up to 3 nights while they take care of their Medical Appointments. However in the last 2 years since I last used this, the neighbors complained to the City and the City has now Banned the practice. Why did they complain? Because some INCONSIDERATE BUSTARD RV'ers decided they could run their damn Generators well into the early morning hours so they could watch tv. Of course those same BUSTARD's will be the first to raise HE!! when they want to stay there for another appointment. and are told NO. Ok, I feel better now. Just really hope I run into one of them sometime down the road. Joe So now my Jello Ball and Chalkboard are really getting a workout.
  4. Well as some of you know, the First weekend in October brings the Kenetic Races in Pt. Townsend. Funny, but I spotted a couple of other folks we know while I was over there yesterday. I'm pretty sure that Jeri and Terry have joined the Kenetic Navy and that this is them in the Kayaks closest to the camera. Not sure if the one farther away and in the middle is related to them or not. Joe
  5. Sounds good to me. Maybe Steve will volunteer to be "Group Leader". Joe
  6. Hey Mike, Sounds good. I'll be there for 3 weeks starting the 18th. Have several days that will be full as I'll be in classes, but lot's of free time otherwise. Oh and The Winery, in Pahrump, is a really good place to have a Lunch. Just ask Steve, Carol, Jeri, or Terry. Joe
  7. Hey Jeff, That sounds good. I'll be up in Pahrump from the 18th of October till the 9th of November. I will be in classes the 20th & 21st, then again the 31st thru the 3rd of November. Then south to Loma Linda for Dr appointment. Very likely after that I will head back north. Not going to make Q again this year. We have trips to Ocean Shores, WA and Mazatlan, Mexico planned in January and February. Joe
  8. By the time you guys get to Vegas you should be sweltering. I'm planning on being in Pahrump, 60 miles away, starting the 18th. Also heard a rumor there may be other folks we know in the Vegas area the end of the month. Joe
  9. Manage to get that pesky pin of mine to move a couple of times now. Not real far, but it did move. Just getting it warmed up for next month when I head south. It is cooling off here at night now and the trees are starting to turn color and drop their leaves. So a few weeks down south will be good. Not sure yet whether or not I'll actually make it to Yuma, might turn back north in November and head for the Oregon Coast and look for some Storms. Ahhhh you gotta love this "Jello Ball" planning. Joe
  10. Heck I best go see if I can move my pin around a bit. I am going to Stanwood, WA tomorrow so that should count for something. (a whole 50 road miles, 15 miles as the crow fly's) Joe
  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Terry. My "jello ball" has me leaving to head south on the 14th of October. Will spend 3 weeks in Pahrump' NV., then ??????????? Joe
  12. Yep Paul and Sue showed up here looking tired and hungry. So after some standing around gabbing it was off to town for Mexican Food. Of course there was a whole lot more gabbing there and then even more when we returned to the Ole Homestead. And all youse ears should have been burning cause we talked about everyone. It was a GREAT evening and of course it was good seeing Paul and Sue once again. Joe
  13. Right on, that is a great place to spend a little time. I past through there about 6:30 this evening on my way home from up near the Canadian Border. Oak Harbor Elks really is nothing more than a parking lot with a few plug ins. They may have water also. What are your plans for the next few days? Weather is supposed to be really nice this weekend around here. Joe
  14. Hi Sue, Well I just looked at the 10 day Forecast for my area and they are calling for Chance of Showers on 2 of those days. September is generally a decent month here, if foggy it usually burns off by noon. I think doing some hiking up on Hurricane Ridge would be GREAT this time of year. And if the weather turns bad, your only half a days drive from the other side of the mountains. Which by the way they have tried to Burn to nothing this past summer. We will be at Discovery Bay the night of the 9th. Just an overnight trip mainly looking to get some pictures of the Low Tide at the little town of Nordland and then hoping for a decent night for Full Moon pictures on the bay. Got this picture in July when we met Jeri and Terry over there. Joe
  15. GREAT JOB Sue. Ok, any idea when you guys are going to be around Olympic National Park? Joe
  16. GREAT JOB Sue. Ok, any idea when you guys are going to be around Olympic National Park? Joe
  17. And that is my plan either Friday or Saturday. Sit at the Mexican Restaurant drinking Marguerita's and listening to the Music. Oh they are closing the main drag in Old Town Oak Harbor this weekend for the 3rd Annual Music Festival. Fun, Fun, Fun. Joe
  18. While I'm certainly not Jeri , you should have good weather here in North West Washington. However we are over due for some rain. Joe
  19. Sounds good, The Winery in Pahrump is a real nice place for a lunch get together. And the Mexican Restaurant in Oak Harbor is still serving those Marguerita's. Currently sitting in Rockport, WA at a really nice County RV Park. Joe
  20. Hmm I'll be just over the hill in Pahrump, NV Starting about the 18th of October till approx the 8th of November. Might just have to see about meeting up somewhere for some lunch. I will be in class the 20th and 21st, then again for 4 days starting the 31st. Other than that I'll be fairly free to run around and Sharon will be there with me part of the time also. Joe
  21. Well just a little something for you folks that happen to be in the general area of the PNW. The 1st Saturday in October they have the Kenetic Races in Port Townsend, WA. Saturday is the Parade and the Water Trials. This event is a BLAST. Joe
  22. Hey Jeff and Tina, sorry about your furkid. Never easy but she is now waiting, and playing, at the rainbow bridge. Joe
  23. Hey, I thought it was funny when I saw her trying to take my picture so I returned the favor. Then waited to post it till I knew she would be heavily involved with Family Fun. As for going somewhere without a camera, sadly I do that way to often and end up missing out on some great opportunities. Steve, glad to hear you guys are finally hitting the road again. Hope you manage to make it back to the Southwest before I have to head back north this year though. As for the Baaaaaaaaaad Whiskey, I'll keep a little in reserve for that possibility. Now I need to get in the kitchen and fix me some breakfast. Fresh Crab Omlette on the menu this morning. Joe
  24. Well all I can say about the weather here in the PNW is that it has been FANTASTIC lately. Maybe a little on the warm side, High 60's. Not to long ago we went over to Discovery Bay and spent most of 2 days with Jeri and Terry. Everyone know that Jeri goes NOWHERE without her camera, so I managed to get further evidence of this. Joe
