I'm thinking about a mascreator pump. Put tank in bed of truck...pump poop...go dump. I camp in the desert and hooking up to dump is not a good option. And although my poop tote has wheels,(they simply pop on and off) they would wear out in one trip of 15 miles to the dump station.

Only need a few years of warrantee and then we will all be switching over to DNB (Diamond Nuclear Batteries)...No more chargeing or worry about discharge, temperature, explosion, or replacement....They output constant voltage for 28-30 THOUSAND years!!!! Amazing technology is here now....

I want a battery that is high quality and has a proven track record of performance and support.
I would suggest the only brand that has been around long enough and has enough of a following to have a meaningful record of performance and support is Battle Born.......

Chad...Thank you for this post...What about "Pouch Cells".....I see this term sometimes describing a particilar Li battery.

Diamond Nuclear Batteries........No recharging and will last 20-30 THOUSAND YEARS! Check it out. A world changer! No need for any type of utility...Gas, Oil, Electric, Nuclear......Everything on the planet reunning on DNBs.......

"Diamond Nuclear Batteries"....Check it out. Will completely change the world as we know it......Never needs recharging and will last 20-30 THOUSAND YEARS!

Did I read somewhere that 800 youtubes are uploaded every minute? Some folks are making millions. Like the kid that opens toys on camera. He was the highest money maker a few years ago. $17m a year iof I remember right, Check out Will Prowse on his solar and lithium battery channel. From living in an old van in California to two huge houses and a fleet of sports cars......In just a few years.....Yup, it can be done. But it ain't easy...

I just bought the one Campers World has on sale for $89.......Love it so far!

Great video from a diesel mechanic on this subject....

If you are buying a truck? A 250/2500 is not what you should have to tow a 15,000 # trailer. The pin weight will overload the truck. 250/2500 don't have the weight rating to tow a 15,000 # fiver. I wouldn't buy a gas engine. Diesel is the way to go. Yes, it will be a lot more. I tow a 16,000 # fifth wheel with a 2019 F350, Crew Cab, long bed, 4X4, diesel, SRW and that does the job well. My 2011 F250 didn't do so well and it was overloaded.
Just a data point. The 2500/6.4 gas will have roughly 1000 pounds more payload than the diesel. There is a huge payload penalty with the diesel. I'm not talking "tow rating".... that's a different story.

How do you transport your portable waste tank (Poop Tote). I really didn't want it tied on the back of the trailer and I certainly didn't want that nasty thing anywhere near living quarters. So I built a Poop Tote holder under the trailer....(sorry for the out of focus )
A video describes it best:

So we try to buy local.....I just visited my local RV dealer to buy a part for my water heater and possibly. A whole new heater. I have no.problem.paying a few dollars more for something to buy local. The ignighter for the heater is around $8 online...at th he dealer $19.95....The heater is $429 from many online dealers and I can have it in three days. At the dealer $599 and a two week wait!!! I ask checked on solar products. Everything that I knew the online price for was 40 to 50% higher......."Buy local" they say....

I find this thread very interesting and educational....Carry on!

It's not like the solar panel to battery wiring where the loss of a few tenths of a volt can make the difference between a healthy and an anemic charging rate.
I'm confused by this. As you stated in your first paragraph that voltage loss was not a big deal.....Am I missing something here?
-
Most of the RVs I've looked at with "Ready For Solar" had inadequate wiring, poor placement of termination and basically useless for anything but a trickle charger.....

Two weeks ago, Friday afternoon, 6 hours before we were to leave on a three week trip to Florida, driving down the street, a truck dropped a 6" piece of 2x4 that went under my truck and damaged the driveshaft.
Took the truck to the dealer. Said to bring it in first thing Monday and they would try to get me back on the road.....
No Joy!.....Needs a whole new drive shaft and they cant get on for at least 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!
"What did I do to my truck today"..?? I missed it! (And we never got to Florida!)

Yup.....Quick article I wrote about the Li adventure...

"IT WAS TIME"......I've been following the whole Lithium thing for years. I'm a wire geek and I really thought I'd end up building batteries, as factory offerings at $1000 was just too much cabbage. About 7 years ago I installed two Duracell 105aH AGM batteries with 420w solar on the roof of a 20' toy hauler. I was never ever at a need for more power or longer power cycle. I recently fully charged the two batteries, disconnected and tested them a few days later. still 12.7V......Amazing how long these AGMs have lasted.
But my GEEKNESS got the best of me when Renogy offered their BlueTooth 100aH batteries on sale for $500 each.....I bit the bullet and jumped in.....But then I needed a new solar charge controller and 120v charger/converter......
Here is a quick walk around of what I ended up with.....

I just did exactly that this week.....Simply amazing improvement in performance....WAY faster charging....For the same space and half the weight, twice the capacity. Prices are falling. You can get great Li batteries with all the temperature protections for well under $500 each. I bought two Renogy on sale for $499 each and a Chinese battery for the boat for $369.....All with low temp protection, high and low discharge protection and warrantees.....

When I upgraded to lithium iron phosphate, my lead acid ones were still in pretty good shape, so I just incorporated them into my system. My solar keeps the LiFE Po4 battery charged, and my LiFe Po4 battery keeps the lead acid ones charged.
That's interesting....But since I was getting along fine with 200ah of AGM and now have 200ah of Li.....I think I'll be fine. I'll use the two AGM batteries on the boat for the trolling motor.

Randy...On your last post about connecting batteries together. I have two Renogy 100aH Lithium batteries on their way to me.....Anything I should know about putting them in parallel for 200aH that is diofferent than my two AGMs?

A quick search..."The appliance will draw only as much current as it needs. The only factor that determines current draw is the load (another term for resistance) the device places on the charger."
I'm confused.......How do we make a charger deliver more current than the batteries are requesting?
-
I had no idea that you could tell a "power supply" to deliver more amps (current) than the device was requesting/needing.......I thought the amount of current a PS would deliver was dependent on the receiving devices resistance.......
