Planning on coming. We might want to stay longer than the rally if they have space. Any advice on the best way to go about securing a reservation is appreciated.

I got an education about tires at the National HDT Rally this past week. Thank you Trey (rvsafety.com) for my education, and thank you L.D. for suggesting the idea. DISCLAIMER: Please disregard, ignore, etc, any comments of mine you have seen, or may see in the future, made by me in regard to tires, that were made prior to this date!!!👍 😄

Saw who
started
this thread and had to
smile. His old
truck
is
at
the National Rally in Hutch. Met several here who
knew him and his wife Valarie. The old 98 Volvo is
still a good
truck
and doing us a fine job!

We just came back from out there. The smoke two weeks ago caused us to change some plans while we were out there. We've been checking the places we visited since we got home and the air quality is about 10 times worse. We stayed along the Oregon coast (Newport, then Gold Beach) and then at Lake Tahoe. I wouldn't go to those areas at this time.

Never used a camera, but I might because I think one looking out in front of you is a good idea for liability reasons. So, might as well have two. How about a link or two to a decent one?

I trucked for over 30 years. My philosophy on lights has always been no more that what are required. It is sometimes a chore just to keep those working if you swap trailers a lot. I must say though, some of y'alls OCD tendencies will rival my own!😄 Some very nice installs shown on here!

Chains won't be needed this time of year.
North Rim is definitely not more commercialized than the South Rim. You may be mixing up the two. North Rim is very quiet. We love it!!
North Rim services end around mid-October but the park is still open for viewing until the road closes for snow.... Nov/Dec.
I can't think of any highways your big rig can't go in that area except Hwy 9 west into Zion through the tunnels.
Have a fun trip!
Agree. The north rim is our favorite as well.
Mission, accomplished. Thanks Dan.

If I had been close enough to you, I'd of jumped at the chance just ride down the road in that Pete! It's been awhile.
