I didn't understand how power company does this.

A way to explain the power company supplying your electrical needs is some hours of the day your useage  is high as mentioned above. Then they have all the generators (will call it Dogs and Ponies also) running.

Now you have a big truck and we many people have big truck's so they can stop. Like wise they like the highcube engine to get up to speed of over the hill. That is when your calling all the Dogs and Ponies to help, but do you use all or any of the Dogs and Ponies traveling across the flat land?

Size the convertor to get you peak Electrical useage normally the afternoon but could be the morning if you run a electric heater

  2. This picture shows the little enclosure box in question. I have no idea what is inside. I may have cut about 1/4 of the little enclosure off is downsizing. The terminal at the left edge of the photo is the Pos terminal of the left hand battery and the right hand end of the little enclosure is near the Pos terminal of the right hand battery. Clay

  3. I'm more interested in the extra hardware. I can't read anything off the device, is it resistive, a diode, fuse or?? The truck engine is a Cummins ISL 8.9 which could also be in a coach.

folivier  -  I do like like to use colored  used ty-wraps.

  4. What is the extra Hardware/connections on top the batteries.

I have a 2015 Freightliner M2 106 that is past due for replacement batteries. I never paid much attention to  the top of the batteries because out of site, out of mind. It there a connection diagram? what is the extra connection? Personally I'm not able to physically handle hardware of that size . The local truck shop will get the work so I'm not sure if this will be as strange to them as I.

We generally move every week. From our central location we go North, South, East, West and dedicate a day to each. We then have extra days if needed to explore. Add in rest days, shopping, laundry and your week is filled up.

We are not full time but often 5-6 months away from were we grew up and do most of medical visits.

When we arrive at a campground we always have a list of things to do but ask the locales about well know attraction and often it is of little cost . Some of best highlights were not known to us until spend a few days.

  6. I betting you have an cab air leak or bad connection. I had a bad cab air bag leak when the truck was 4 years old. Freightliner dealer service dept couldn't fine it. The compressor would run every 5-7 minutes. ( That isn't the only problem I had with that dealer). Stopped the I don't remember the tank leak off time but it was only a hour or so . That is when I bought my Whisper device ,cheap insurance

  7. To answer part of your question. I started down down sizing 5 months after my first love passed suddenly. I took my daughter through the house and asked what did they want. The answers were I want that, I will take that and keep that and we will decide later. The son-in-laws was given the same choices on tools.  With that, most of the remainder was donated, sold or burn over the next 3 1/2 years. I still depend on a small storage unit for some tools, but basically everything fit into my pickup and 35 foot fifth wheel. Did I miss some stuff, not really except tools. I now have a both a bigger truck and fifth-wheel but doing fine and keeping busy.

Biggest problem now is handling the Christmas gifts I received. Not everyone believes gift cards are appropriate gifts.

Clay    Now questioning do I down size again after being at Mayo's Clinic this week?

  8. Never had a problem storing. I've stored 2 states over 1000 mile from legal address and 2 states over 1300 from my summer base. In all cases the RV has been in a private storage lot or Campground.  The longest storage was 5  months.

    Clay Presently stored in Illinois

  9. I was on and off early in FB history but got off Primarily because of security. First a group (maybe 28) of young people starting tracking people and messing with their life ( Mainly robbery and malicious activities). Later I became aware of the how my computers activities (my traffic) was being sold. Yes I gave FB  the right to do it when I accepted there contract for use. IF I visit FB it is on one of my children computer to view pictures.

I find it rather hard to believe that a leak as big as this cannot be heard.

Here is the instrument I purchased several years for less then $200. I think it paid itself in the first 2 events,  plus I didn't have to drive a hour to spend a $100.

Or a bunch of smaller ones.

That was my problem in the seats. Also I a back massager on my seat that used air. It was on when I chased a leak. The real leak appeared than  it really was.

My problems were always in the connectors like Ray,IN shows except a Cab air bag

  12. I took about half in January. The other half would be a CD that expires this fall. The plan was to cash it in, then the market fell and the CARES Act has made me wonder. The plan is still cash in to full fill the RMD. My  wife is also taking RMD . But we have 5-7 months to change our minds.

  13. A couple questions.

Do you have problems finding the leaks or fixing after you find the leak. The a instrument I believe called the "Whisper" that work better the soap bubbles has a locator. Harbor Freight (but I like the local farm supply better) has some tools to put bands on your connectors.

Do you have air brakes or Hydraulic?

How old is your truck? My M2-106 isn't that old but a couple leaks I have had hose wise just needed a longer length of hose as  the movement the  hose was being stressed.

Clay I try to fix things myself as often the fix takes less time than the drive to a repair shop.

  14. I like the card even when when the discount is small. It is Convenient , Convenient, Convenient. Previously to use the big pumps I had to go inside and prepay and return inside to get my receipt. Now I can maintain my six feet separation.

  15. I use Priority First class or any that provides tracking.

I have used First Class Mail which is to be delivered 10 Business day. (is Saturday a business day???).  My problem was sometimes, 13 Business Day delivery (M-F) every so often.  Normal  was 6-8 days where as Priority Mail normal is 3 and sometimes 4 and on a rare occasion 2 days.

I was never told a good reason for delays more than 10 business days (M-F). Your First Mail must have been handled with Second Class, is not a good reason.

We're sheltering in place at our sticks and bricks home in Washington State.  .

I don't want to grab the attention away from the subject but I have a serious question. When did they change the name of the state in which to live to WASHINGTON STATE.

There is New York and New York City or Spokane, Washington and Pennsylvania Ave , Washington DC but never Pennsylvania Ave, Washington.  Washington State is all you hear in the news, are they teaching that in the schools. Is Washington State politically correct?

  17. Our destination will be NW Illinois most likely after Memorial Day. There the RV will stored  for maybe a month or so depending on events.

We are a high risk couple who will plan out our route before we leave. Hopefully carrying enough food for a week.  In the meantime you are staying at a distance from all at Kerrville TX.

  18. In the past I had read there was a awning fabric that did not hold water. What I'm interested in finding that Material. Finding out some stories of some users. If I needed I think I have a source to do the sewing.

My 4 1/2 year old slide awnings need replacement.  The existing awning are Colorado Free and has always held water. Then when the wind gust hit 70 mph the stitching let loose on both the 12 and 14 foot awnings

The second option would be a complete replacement with a better quality yet still use the more course fabric.

I'm also a fan of the Pleasure Way on the Ford Chassis. They are expensive and may not be the best for the Dollar. Mind was on a E350 chassis so to keep the weight down the under side is open thus not protected for below freezing use. The workmanship was superb and I found everything user friendly. When I decided to sell my B&S home, I sold the Pleasure Way and moved into a Fifth wheel  twice the size  but a fraction of the quality

They were heavily  over selected for white females but still found 3 to 4% of the population had the WuFlu many did not know that they had it.

In NYC they did more representative testing and found 34% of the city population had had the plague. About half reported having at least one symptom the rest never knew.

And there was that German town where they tested 75% of the population and found 15% were infected.

The problem I have with this is Figures don't lie but how presented is the implied lie.

I don't anything about the German town but used the American method of getting a test, the 25 % not tested would be the absolute least expected to be have the virus .  So my figures, the possible actual German infected could be 11 % (15%of 75)

The NYC like wise is high based in the American method of testing . The actual numbers NY per the AMERICAN SICK MAP is below. The State percent being 1.184% and if all was in NYC the city would have less than a million people'
