People do this frequently and usually for no purpose.  My manual even has a clear warning about doing other troubleshooting before replacing the circuit board.  Replacement of the board is rarely needed.  Most of the time the remedy was actually just a matter of unplugging and replugging the ribbon connector due to board replacement.  Do that first before replacing the board.  Also replace the inexpensive sensor before replacing the board.

    Taking bets!

I'd split the requirements into two devices.  I put in a motion light like this one:  https://www.amazon.com/MOTION-GUARD-MG1000-450W-Exterior-Motion-Security/dp/B07D8LTJQ1/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=motion+rv+light&qid=1557464125&s=gateway&sr=8-11

And I also have a Blink XT camera (battery powered) above the front door.  It has free recordings, and connects to wifi and can be viewed on my phone.

My Blink XT2 camera system arrives on June 5th. Quite an upgrade from the XT.

I know you do not want to tow, but towing a trailer is less expensive a LOT less limiting for mechanical reasons. The sky is the limit finding a mechanic to work on the vehicle towing the trailer and repairs are fast. If you go to an RV dealer for repairs, good luck getting an appointment and getting your home back in a few weeks...

    Here here!

  4. Champion service is unmatched in the industry. They will jump through hoops for you even years later. I've had several of their units. I now use the dual fuel unit. most of the time I use the propane. Don't always want to carry gasoline. I take 2 20lb bottles with me if I plan on using it. Trailer has 2 30lb bottles on it. Love the dual fuel option.

I would also suggest watching their videos.
