  1. Be careful how you word your request. We asked a casino if we could park overnight in their lot and they said yes. But they were truly only giving us permission to PARK not sleep. They came knocking and wanted us to move into their hotel.

Come to think about it I asked if they had a place to park an RV and was going to spend the night. They said yes in the back, but I didn't say if I was going to sleep in the RV or Hotel. I guess I will try it and see what happens.

Thanks for the heads up Linda, I will remember next time to let them know I'll be sleeping in the RV.

  2.

Holy cow. When you leave early, you mean it. 6:15 am and your outta here.

Good luck. Travel safely. We will see you down the road.

Always have been a early riser, and I haven't been retired long enough yet to see if that will change. I'm sure glad I did, we got to Las Cruces at 1:30 where we were going to spend the night and about 30 min after getting here the wind started to blow pretty bad. The site is level so I wasn't going to drop the landing gear, but the trailer was rocking so bad I dropped the landing gear and about 10 min later the rear stabilizers. Set back and had a few beers and took a nap and woke up at 5pm and the wind died down. Hope its not bad in the morning so I can leave and get to Fort Stockton and stay at a Walmart for the night I heard was a good place to overnight. (Did I hear that from you?) It was a pleasure meeting you and Doug and hope to meet up again.

  3. So this afternoon, a guy came across the parking lot at Casino Del Sol and said "Hey are you Doug? Classless Class" . We did not know who is he was. He has stalked the forums for about 3 years. He went to Quartzsite in January of 2015, when Doug and I just came up for the day. He met several of you. His name is Dennis. He has been full-timing 7 whole days. They are coming over for a glass of wine in a bit. Who remembers meeting him. Tall guy from California.

Toni if you had said that tall "GOOD LOOKING" guy they would have remembered me. I was only able to be there for one day because a friend was going through Lake Havasu so we went back to meet them. I was the one with the toy hauler and I had the yellow dune buggy. Doug and Toni it was a pleasure talking with you guys, thanks for all the info, hope to meet up again.

  4. I would like to know if anyone has stayed at the Casino Del Sol casino in Tucson. I'm looking for a good/safe place to overnight in Tucson. Looked at reviews and they look good, but the last one was March of this year. I emailed them and asked if they still allow overnight parking and waiting for there reply, but thought I would ask here also. Or if you know any where else would be a good/safe place to overnight in Tucson.

  5. Chad, have you checked the heater shut off valve? There pretty easy to check, after the coolant heats up check the temp of the hoses the return should not be hot, if so its bad. Let me know if your having problems getting info on your truck, I should be able to get what you need from work, I work at the KW dealership outside of Stockton.

  6. Hey Dennis; Sorry for blocking you in there. If you would have waited 30 seconds I would have disconnected from the fiver to get the truck out of the way.

Ron, I'm not sure if you are talking to me, because no one has parked near me for more then a day or so and they are more then a 100 feet away. What location are you at? I'm at the BLM site at mile marker 194 north of Lake Havasu. I'm in the Fuzion 5th wheel with yellow dune buggy parked by it, there are a couple of Fuzion toy haulers here.

  7. We are still in Quartzsite on Plamosa north, south side of the road. Getting real empty now. Closest neighbor is about 300 yards. Going into town now is a breeze. Will leave here Sunday and go to "Lazy D" campground in Parker to refresh then head out for Lake Havasu.

Will go to the north side BLM area and pull in for a lengthy stay if its not too crowded. Hope to see some of the fireworks going on

there. Seems empty in the forum with IYQ not here! Hope he gets the problem solved. Ya'll stay safe out there and we,ll see you down

    the road somewhere.

Let me know if you would like and I'll try to save a spot for you if your coming to the BLM spot I told you about, because its starting to fill in now and by next week it may be hard to get a decent spot. There's a spot next to us and I can park my truck in it. Let me know.

  8. We're back on Plamosa Rd. About a mile west of where we were at. Had to come here to watch the Super Bowl. Can someone tell me how to get

to the 14 day BLM area around Lake Havasu? Rode the bikes over to visit with Jeff and Tina. They were still in the same spot. Hey Lee, sounds like your having some bad luck. Hope you get it straightened out. Ya,ll be safe!

Ron and Linda, we are at the 14 day BLM spot 5 miles north of Lake Havasu. It is a nice spot with a view of the valley. It is between mile marker 194 and 195 on the right on Hwy 95. If you come here look me up, we're in the 40' Fuzion toy hauler on the south side.

There are other spots south of town I believe mile marker 173 and Craggy wash by the airport, but I don't think there as nice as this one.

  9. Ok family, it's official BessyBus 1 is sold! Now for the exciting news! The new owners Randy & Liz are going to join us in Q for a few days, so you'll still be able to see her one more time. They are from Austin Texas and were old 5th wheel campers until we convinced them to come over to the "dark side". Anyway we will probably show up on Monday as we have "driving class", the Packer game and a few other details to attend to. It's been quite a week, but now we are all ready to p-a-r-t-y!! They are joining escapees, and our classless group if they can stand us. They also have a relative coming East out of Calif in a motorhome, so I invited them to join us also. Now I may have to find some more spaghetti sauce!!! Steve

Congratulation's on the sale of your motorhome. Cant wait to get there to meet the group.

  10. Yeah we heard about that....will be thinking of them, for sure.

Dennis, we have a full size maul AND a chain saw :)

Great, we'll put them to good use. I was talking to a guy next to me about needing to find some firewood and he told me that he passed a house under construction in town and that he would stop by and see if they had any scrap wood, well about 2 hrs later he asks me where I wanted him to unload the wood. The guys working on the house said he could have all the scraps on the ground so he brought me about 2 wheel barrows of 2x4 and 2x6s. I'll have him check a few more times before I leave Monday and hopefully I can get a lot more.

You guys said I couldn't show up without bringing wine, champagne or firewood. Since I don't drink wine or champagne and wouldn't know good from bad I better get my butt in gear and get a lot of firewood.

    Safe travels to all,

    Dennis

  11. Good deal Dennis, I have an electric chain saw so that would work fine. Looking foreword to meeting you. Steve

Great Steve I will bring the wood, but I didn't explain very good in my post that most of it is already sawn in 18" pieces, but they will need to be split. i will bring what's here and see what we have when we get there.

  12. Does anyone have a full sized axe with them? I'm at a BLM site north of Lake Havasu and someone left some logs that I could bring with me for firewood. The logs are about 8 to 10" in diameter, not sure of the species of the wood. Let me know and I will snag them and bring with me.

We will be here until after the balloon festival and then leave on Monday and stay two nights in Parker, then head for Q on the 21st.

Looking forward to meeting up with the group.

  13. Thanks Sue and IYQ for the welcome. Sue we are in northern Calif. and will be boondocking for a while at a BLM site 5 miles north of Lake Havasu. Not sure how long the wife is going to let me stay out there before we get a site at a campground in Lake Havasu City or maybe around Parker. Then I would like to go over to Quartzite and check that out for a week, hopefully when your group is there so you can teach me the ins and outs of the place. Then back to Lake Havasu City to the end of February, we have to be back in Calif. by March the 10th for a wedding. I think I jumped the gun a little by saying we would start fulltiming now, actually we are going south for a few months and then come back and get the house ready to rent and head out maybe in June. So if you don't tell anyone that we not really fulltimers yet then I wont...........

IYQ I sure wish I could bring some firewood from home, there's a guy that sells it down the street from me and he fills my pickup up for $20 bucks, but I think I will be pushing it weight wise the way it is, so I will pick some up down there or pitch in for some if anyone else brings some.

    Happy travels,

    Dennis

  14. Well if all the stars line up it looks like we will be heading out for Arizona in 3 days. This will be the start of our fulltiming adventure. I have been lurking on the classless class site for a while now and it looks like a fun group. Sooooo, where do I sign up.

Planning on staying in Lake Havasu and may plan a trip to Quartzite and would like to meet up other classless folks.

So how do I get an application form and if there is any dues let me know now so I can break into my wife’s piggy bank cause I know she has money she’s not telling me about.

    HAPPY NEW YEARS

    Dennis
