  1. We got to Firelake Casino yesterday late afternoon. We'll meet with Steve and Carol today. We searched a lot and asked a bunch of questions then we found it. The ice cream machine and it is good. Probably move on tomorrow continuing our much too early trip back to Denver. Later.

  2. Sue I made the mistake of telling them I had a bb rifle. They searched our motorhome and left a cupboard door unlatched. When I turn it was an avalanche of plastic dishes. Not even sure if the looked at the paper work for the animals. They asked us to take the dogs out but could leave the cats. Took 20 minutes and we were on the road again.

Roger and Linda those stories are too funny.

We are in Tyler, Tx. Yesterday mid 80's today mid 40's and rain. Will be here for a couple of days then ??? Probably will get to Denver early (before 4/22) to try and get a leak fixed.

    Be safe,

    Jeff

  3. Not much from 2012 either Jeff...

Are you guys still planning on Denver in May?

    Roger

Roger we have reservations Cherry Creek starting 4/22 for 2 weeks. Then up to Boyd Lake in Loveland for the wedding. In Tyler, Tx. trying to figure which way to go. Would kind of like to go to Kansas City area to see relatives before Denver.

  4. The more the merrier, in my book. We weren't out in Q this year, so WE didn't meet any of the "new" people- yet. So whether some or all of "us" have met someone doesn't really matter, I would think. If someone is active on the forum, then it is more likely that we will try to meet them if we happen to drive near them.

I think when you put a "class-less thread" out there, by its nature it is open to everyone. And Should be. It's not based on being at the same point in a fulltime adventure, its more about a camaraderie amongst all who want to be part of a conversation. We still have this thread to maintain a Class identity.

    Sue

Well said Sue. The "Class-less" is for all but we can keep our individual graduating threads alive too. Unfortunately for us apparently there is no one but us left from 2011. There hasn't been a post on it since I posted before Q.

  5. It's great to read about everyone's safe travels and adventures without unwanted excitement.

Jeri, you and Terry had a much better trip "home" than your trip south.

Toni glad you made it back " to the other side" and are parked safely. Get well Doug and Parker.

Freddy and Delcie, Big Bend looked so pretty wish we could've spent more time there but our Jeep wouldn't allow it. Travel safe.

    Lee glad you're feeling better.

We went to an exhibition baseball game at the Alamodome Saturday afternoon then to the Riverwalk dinner. Going racing this weekend then we're on the road again. First stop will be Tyler, Tx.

    Everyone be safe.

  6. Lee hope you get to feeling better real soon. Maybe a trip to the doctor?

Joe sounds like you need to move that pin a little more often. That repair might put a hurtin' on that credit card but what choice do you have. Good luck with the repair. We don't remember many sunny days along the Oregon coast last year.

Jeri, we saw that place last year when we stayed in Calistoga. Guess we should've tried it. How's the Jag working out for you?

Last night I became an Elk. Yippeee! This is going to be a good thing.

    Be Safe.

    Jeff

  8. Thought I'd add that after Cherry Creek we're going to Boyd Lake SP in Loveland to get ready for our daughter's wedding on 5/11. After the weeding will bounce between Boyd Lake and St. Vrain S P then probably South Dakota for Memorial Day.

Cherry Creek S P is about 20 miles from our last house. We never camped there until last fall and lived in the area for 39 yrs. It will be good to see everyone. The more the merrier. Later.

    Jeff

  9. We have reservations May 2-15 at Cherry Creek SP in Denver...check it out!

Two Roosters? Dang few like us!

    Safe roads to you too...Roger

    Roger and Lynn,

We'll be at Cherry Creek SP starting 4/22 for 2 weeks in the Gold Rush Loop. Leaving the morning of 5/6 moving up to Boyd Lake SP through 5/14. See y'all there. Safe travels. Later.

    Tina and Jeff

  10. Think that's what I'll do...there's a "hole in the wall" lodge back in the Quad Cities with no golf course, etc. Gotta be cheaper. I'll check it out when we get back that way...thanks for the 2 cents everyone!

Roger I think the dues here in New Braunfels are $85 for a year. I would check other lodges.

    Jeff

  11. Jeff, did you need a sponsor and what Elks Lodge would accept you? That came out sounding wrong! I've been thinking of doing the same. I used to be an Elk but let my membership lapse.

Roger, I took the app. to the New Braunfels Lodge. The lady bartender said she would get a couple of people the sponsor me. I'm thinking about giving them a call or stopping in to see how the process is going.:) I'd like to be in before the end of March.

    Later,

    Jeff

  12. We're back at the Lazy L&L in New Braunfels. The winds blew hard here yesterday, gusts over 50 mph. Last night we had a potluck dinner where the dish had to have alcohol in the ingredients. Some great food. I turned in my Elks application about 2 weeks ago, hope I'm in by the end of March. Sunny and around 70 for the next week.

    Be safe everyone.

    Jeff

  13.

    AND HOW WAS YOUR WEEK?

In comparison to you Toni and Jeri not bad. We took Megan to see the vet. in Kerrville Saturday morning for an infection in her right leg. She's ok now. On Sunday afternoon something came unplugged on the Jeep transmission and it wouldn't start. We were in a parking lot in Kerrville. Called our mechanic friend in Denver and he figured it out. We were stuck for an hour and a half. Other than that we're doing fine. Think we'll drive around this part of the Hill Country today for some sight seeing and then the 11th Street Cowboy Bar here in Bandera tonight for steak night. Be safe, later.

  14. We had the great pleasure of meeting Tina and Jeff today. Good folks! This class-less class has some great classmates!

    Safe travels!

    Mary and Paul

It's alot of fun to meet classmates on the road. The world got small again when we talked. Paul and I graduated from the same high school in Overland Park, Ks. but 4 yrs. a part and they lived in my old neighborhood in Lenexa, Ks. years after I left. Lots to talk about. Small world for sure. This Class-less Class is a friendly group and we are glad to be a part of it.

    Jeff

  15. Been looking for a reason to chime in as part of the classless class. Tina and Jeff, we're at Buckhorn, too!

We'll be on the lookout for y'all!

    Safe travels!

    Mary

Paul and Mary, we are in space 6051. The Buckhorn is a beautiful place. Leaving Monday for parts unknown. We'll be looking out for y'all too. Be safe.

    Later,

    Tina and Jeff

  16. Well we did have to scrape ice off the windshield yesterday morning but I doubt very much it got down to 16!! Terry had his check up today in Portland and 3 years now and still cancer free!! Yippee ..Woot Woot

I'm thinking he'll be back tomorrow night or maybe Friday. However, then, I'm also thinking I'm going to head to Portland if my aunt lasts that long. Her sons are in California and it appears that's where they are going to stay. :(

That's great news about Terry and sad news about your aunt. Thinking of you.

We're at the Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville, Tx. through the weekend. As of now no plans yet for Monday night and there after. Jello. lol. Road trip this morning to New Braunfels to the Elks Lodge. Be safe, later.

    Tina and Jeff

  17. Thanks Guys...the links look like decent posibilities! Saw from your map pin that you're at a casino...any luck on winning that new rig? ;)

Had lunch yesterday with Jeri & Terry. They took us on a tour of the Apache Junction area and had a great time!

Going to Texas eh? You two gonna stop by the Tucson/Benson region? Maybe we can revisit if so?!

    Roger & Lynn

We're leaving tomorrow also. Suppose to be in Kerrville, Tx. by Wednesday. Lets get together in Colorado in May?

Also there is an Airstream with a slide here in the casino parking lot. Has a Texas tag. Be Safe, Later.

    Tina and Jeff

  18. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that make all the difference!

San Pedro is right next to the SKP park and takes Passport America. We've stayed at both and both are nice.

We will be in south Phoenix until Monday visiting our kids then back to Texas. Be safe, Later.
