  1. We won't be in Az. this winter but a suggestion for a gather spot is the Imperial Dam LTVA. Just north of Yuma. We stayed out a Sidewinder after Q last year for the first time and our complaint there is highway noise. The only time it slowed down on I-8 was Sunday morning. All day and night. http://www.blm.gov/az/st/en/prog/recreation/camping/LTVA/imperial.html Jeff
  2. We'll be in Florida. Just a thought. What about going down the road a little on the southside from where we've stayed. The nudist might like some new stuff. lol Jeff
  3. Don't seat it. Thread killing is my job. I was the last to post on the 2011 thread nearly 4 months ago until this morning. Had to bring it back to the top before 2011 got lost. We've seen Amish across northern New York. Sometimes I wonder if maybe they are doing life the right way. Guess I'll never know, I'm too used to this way of doing things. Jeff
  4. Thanks Roger. Not sure when I'll ever get to Livingston though. Jeff
  5. Are we all having fun yet? Sure sounds like it to me. It is frustrating that some companies and organizations can't or won't move to the 21st century. A month ago when we got our mail there was a jury notice for me and I was to report 3 weeks prior when we got the mail. Oooops. Called the court house in Livingston told them we were Escapees. The Lady said no problem just come in and volunteer next time were in town. They probably have a warrant out for my arrest. lol. At the Elks in Burlington, Vt. for the next week. Today is a motorcycle ride for Autism so the place is getting crowded. I have a jumping castle just outside the RV, they said we can get in it if we want. Not happening. Stay safe, Jeff
  6. We are a lot like you - two 12 volt batteries, no solar, no inverter and a 2k generator. Our rig has a 100 gallon water tank and we lasted 13 nights before the water got too low last Jan. at Q. We then moved to Sidewinder for near a week. We used our Directv daily. The little Honda is very quiet. We'll be in Florida this winter if any of you get bored come on over. We left Westport NY and went west through the Adirondacks to Natural Bridge, NY. Had to go back and visit 1000 islands. Nice park but right next to Ft. Drum. We have machine gun and cannon practice going on right now. It lasted until about 11 last night. Booom Booom! Leaving here Friday morning going toward Burlington, Vermont. Steve could you get water at the Elks in Burlington? Jeff
  7. Tina going through another small box this morning found the passports. Too late to stop the new applications. Oh well it's just money right. Later. Jeff
  8. Nice job Jeri. Do you put rocks in your pockets to keep from blowing away? We've lost too. Our passports. Got to Niagara Falls went for the passports and they're gone. Must of accidently got thrown out in the trash somehow. We already reapplied but it will be 4 to 6 weeks so we won't be doing the Maritimes this year. Our east coast rv tour starts 9/20 in Bar Harbor, Me. so we'll see more of New England this time. Be safe everyone. Tina and Jeff
  9. Congrats! Your blog nails it. Well written. Tina and Jeff
  10. We are at the Cuyahoga County fairgrounds planning to do the Rock & Roll hall of Fame. Here at the fairgrounds this weekend is an Irish festival and a flea market. http://www.cuyfair.com/calendar.php We went out to dinner tonight and security gave us a hard time getting back to the rv . They didn't want us driving through the people. Turned the corner and no crowd, so we went on to the rv. We'll have to get this figured out for the weekend. Hot and humid still. Lee keep the motor running. I'm talking about the boat. lol Your motor seems to be running fine and your eyes on the bear. Don't get distracted by your company. Safe travels, Jeff
  11. The new parts arrived late yesterday afternoon so this morning we installed them before it got real hot. The humidity is high too - like a sauna. Replace the heater core and over flow reservoir ( had a bad sensor ). Ready to go now and will hit the road again tomorrow - going toward Cleveland. Safe travels everyone. Jeff
  12. We left St. Ignace a couple of days ago. Crossed the Mackinac Bridge drove down the Lake Huron coast to see friends in Milford, Mi. Spent a night in Bay City and yesterday visited the Antique Toy and Fire Truck Museum. About 15 miles from their house climbing a hill on the highway Tina says "Do you smell something?" Well we have anti freeze coming in on the carpet. I got off the highway and called our friends. Apparently the heater core has blown so we took the core out of the cooling system loop with another piece of hose. We are sitting at their house and Monday we'll find someplace to get it fixed. This is our first hiccup with the rv. Been pretty lucky - knock on wood. At our friends have 50 amp and water hookups with a dump on the property. Nice. Be safe everyone, Jeff
  13. I'm sure he's handsome and smart too. LOL.
  14. Steve, I put on Bilsteins a few years ago. Probably had about 15k on the rv at the time. Made a big difference in the stability. Koni's are a good brand too. Happy Fourth of July and a late Happy Canada day too. Jeff
  15. Lee and Roger been there done that too. Three years ago traveling down I-25 just north of Castle Rock, Co. coming home from a weekend camp trip when someone pulled next to me pointing at the rear of the motorhome. I look in the rearview camera and I'm dragging our bicycles down the highway. My homemade bike rack broke. Couldn't get the bikes in the RV so I left them. Couple of days later went back with the pickup and they were gone. Thought I might salvage some parts. We've been here in Two Rivers, Wi. for a week and haven't run the AC yet. Temps have been 70's and 80's during the day and 60's at night. It has rained a few times. Going to a car show in town today. Be safe everyone. Jeff
  16. Toni people think its strange when I tell them we finally got warm in BC last August after coming up through the PNW. At your campground was the first the first time all summer we left the bedroom window open all night. As for the kids - Good Luck! Jeff
  17. Read your blog. Just a bit of excitement to keep the blood flowing. Glad you guys are ok. Tina and Jeff
  18. Happy Birthday Lee! Linda do you need pontoons there in Minnesota? Heard you got lots of rain.
  19. Lee, don't do anything to the ice cream machine.
  20. They must be work of the Devil. Just today we got home and Tina after taking the dogs out spotted something on the floor thought it was a rock or a piece of dog food. It was a fat tick. Yuk. Got the creepy crawly feeling. Jeff
  21. We are in Baraboo, Wi. Took a duck ride and visited the Circus Museum both were great. Tomorrow is a Jet boat ride and who knows what else. Lee wish we could take the sunshine and no humidity with us. Our biggest complain is the ticks everywhere. Kansas, Missouri, Iowa now Wisconsin. Check the dogs every time they go out - cats aren't getting out. Forgot what it was like back here in the humidity. Say safe everyone. Jeff
  22. Lee you're about to go west and a few of us are going east. We maybe crazy- bugs and humidity. Yuk! Dianne sounds like your trip went well except for the rain. We saw Lynn and Roger here at Coralville Lake, Ia. and I think out paths will cross again as we both head east. Heading for the Wisconsin Dells tomorrow. Be safe everyone. Tina and Jeff
  23. Roger we're going to Coralville. Amana colonies and stuff. Maybe we'll be neighbors for a few days.
  24. Hi everyone. We'll be in Florida this next winter. Looks like we'll miss out on the desert fun. Julie and Mike have a very nice truck. Mike drove us around today. This is pain to do from a phone. Heading north to Iowa tomorrow. Watch out Lynn and Roger. Tina and Jeff
