Yes. My understanding is “Toterman” (since deceased) started it and it was purely a social gathering at differing sites…Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, etc.  When Toterman couldn’t do it Ron aka Argo organized it at Myrtle Beach purely again as a social event.  That was our first attendance with nine other HDTERS.  He did not want to continue, so Donna and I took over, moved to a fixed yearly site, and incorporated some educational opportunities as well as social events.  It was never meant to replace the National but rather compliment what had been started at the National and afford the opportunity for those that could not drive to Kansas an alternative.

Plus, you and Donna did a fantastic job hosting the ECR, I know how much works goes into running an event like this and you both made it look effortless!!!!

  2. When Henry installed mine and gave me a demonstration on hooking and un-hooking, I lowered the legs and chocked the wheels then raised the front legs listening for the air to escape from the hitch then use the supplied breaker bar to release the hitch, now there have been times when that was hard to do so like others, I will release the truck brakes to let it roll which ever it wants to so tension is off the hitch then i have been able to release the handle with the breaker bar and pull away. I have never had the issue you seem to have, plus I have a lube plate on my kingpin.

  3. Just had an oil service done yesterday and they asked if I wanted a pm service done which basically follows a DOT check list, they offered an A or B inspection which means one was more thorough than the other, I chose the lesser of the 2. Oil change filters and A inspection cost me around $830. I like to know our truck is safe on the road so figure it can't hurt.

  4. Chad I know how much it takes to put on a rally and I can not think adding in the fact getting your new rig ready on top of that!!! I bet you sleep good when everything is complete, have a great rally and hope someday to attend.

  5. We understand about your decision and also know how MUCH work goes into pulling off a rally, which of course you made look easy!!!! Hope to cross paths somewhere else in the future and am anxiously waiting to see if anyone wants to fill both your shoes, I am sure you will help whoever that might step up pick up where you ended. Happy Trails
