Rick, I may drive over there tomorrow or the next day to have a look. They are real close and the website looks like a great place to stay,. I really like their "wheel style" campsites for RVs. I wish more parks would take a hint from them for backing up the rigs. Also nice pull thru's.
Thanks for the info. I may want to stay there in about a month as I come back thru.

We are at Cherry Glen COE. Pretty place and pretty tight for our rig, but we managed.
Maynard, are you in the area also?

Setting out several storms while we are at Saylorville Lake, north of Des Moines, Iowa. Had the front axle on the trailer replaced and headed here to see a friend and get some work done on the computer. I hope stormy weather is good for writing!

Setting back at Rutlader Outpost RV Park, about 25 minutes south of Overland Park, Kansas. Only here for a couple of days and then off to other lands.
Get to lay eyes on my truck's twin tomorrow, and J.W.'s latest creation - Trey and Susan's truck and new bed!

Hey! Congratulations and a BIG WELCOME!
Please keep us informed as to what projects you are working on. And as you have read - we like pictures .
See ya down the road,

Rod, sorry to hear of your loss.
The HERO Maker train left the RGV today and we are currently staying at the TCC (Texas Custom Coach) parking lot getting a couple of problems taking care of. Should be here about 4 days, and then on to East Texas to be with family and take a rest from our work at the border. Will be traveling from mid May until we come back to the RGV in late Oct.
Looking for groups to talk to about the need to help children at risk.
Hope to see y'all along the trail somewhere,

Bob!? Blythe???? The real funs begins there in August. You're either in the River or in the Life Preservation Unit. Used to be there every year. At this time of year you can hike the desert hills.
Have fun.

Just pulled into Rutlader Outpost RV Park in Kansas. It is about 25 miles south of Overland Park. We are a week early and made no reservations so it was not looking good for us as we drove their golf cart looking for a spot like we had last year, overlooking the fishing lake with the awning on the correct side of the trailer. (no late afternoon sun for us)
Went back in to discuss what our options would be (or go look at another park), then the phone rings and someone was unable to keep their commitment for space #10! No coincidence here! We know who looks over us and meets our needs sometimes even before we ask! We had space #8 last year for 3 weeks and it was great. So now we are parked like we were last year and we will be here for about 5 weeks and then head for the Rally.
By the way. The park here has a theatre where some great Nashville style Entertainment takes place on Saturday night. Great quiet place to stay.
See y'all at the Rally if not before.

Currently at the KOA campground in Adel, Iowa, just north of #80 west side of Des Moines. Will be here until early next week speaking with groups. Left Riverside, Calif. on Monday at 11:00 am, and just pulled into the park here. Nice great evening!

Made the trip to Riverside, California (where I grew up) without any "inspection" problems. Currently staying a Rancho Jurupa County Park, across the river from Riverside. It is also a Passport America part, but I am one month too early for the good rates. Oh well. Better planning next time! They have the older section by the lakes that has been here for a lot of years, but last year they added a new section with pads and grass plus a water play park for kids (and Sheri). The nice thing is the length of the pads. I am sitting on one that is 96 ft long with seperation better than Retama! Nice clean park with a little too much light at night. Went out to lock up the bikes last night, no flashlight needed.
Will probably stay two weeks.

Welcome to the forum Mark. Great looking truck!
As you know, there is a lot of great info here. But don't forget to give us your input also. A lot of us would like to hear more from the OTR guys.
Have fun,

Settled in at the family farm in East Texas, near Jacksonville. It was a little windy getting here yesterday, but the only movement was the cab of the truck swaying back and forth a little. Makes you think you're moving in the other direction when that happens, but the rig drives staight down the road!
Enjoy your summer.

We arrived back in the RGV to receive groups for trips south of the border to work on projects at orphanages. Looking forward to seeing friends from last season and introducing the needs of the children at risk to anyone interested.
Bless y'all.

Well, it was another great Rally and now we are back around our old stomping grounds in the Dallas area. Will be here for about 7 more days and then on down to Bentsen Palm Village, in RGV, as we receive volunteers to work on some of the projects at the orphanages across the border.

Pulled into the Fairgrounds in Hutchinson KS today for the HDT Rally, and it was good to see friends we met 1 yr ago. A lot has happened since last year and the good news is that we won't be staying at the local hotel this year. Still a lot to learn, and this is the place.

As usual with us, we stayed too few nights as we were all over BC and AB in 2.5 weeks. Both times in that area, we stayed at Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court in Banff, and it was really nice. Yes, I believe it was $23 per night (Canadian) but they gave us their normal pull through sites for two! I know your rig is long (hopefully I will get to see you at the rally), but instead of 2 rigs in this site, you get the whole thing. Also nice, was the 3 point (6 in some parts) Buck Deer that was checking out the truck and fiver. Walked right between the two while I was cleaning windows 10 feet away.
Don't miss the ride to the top in banff. More than a nights stay per person, but worth the view. Also check out the Clark's Nutcracker birds on the edge of the overlook deck. Eat out of your hand.
Have fun. We will be headed East towards SD next Monday'/Tuesday.

On the road again leaving Canmore, Alberta, Canada in a couple of hours headed for Gooding, Idaho. Will be there by the end of the week. Getting used to this stuff!

OK. First thing this morning I finished relocating the PressurePro monitor to the overhead position. I will like it a lot better there.
The new laptop table (Jack design with a little Rocky modify) looks great and was easy to build. Of course I had the supervisor there to guide me, but you can do it very easily.
We will enjoy our "day off" tomorrow and head out Monday.

OH! I guess it is us who are going to be out of the country. About 2 1/2 weeks in Summerland / Calgary. Then a stop in Gooding Idaho (I think that's in the US) and then headed your way if there is a spot. I will pm you when I get closer to predicting when we might be there. This new guy travel stuff is different but fun. Still trying to learn how long it takes to get somewhere.
Oh Phil, it's just like Heaven. I know it's going to be great when I get to Mission, I'm just not ready to go there right now!
Bless you guys,
-
PressurePro is working fine Mike. In fact, I trust it more than I do my new tire gauge!
You know, I haven't checked the gender of the truck yet. Not being a farmer type, maybe someone else knows where to look?
May see you when you get back from your trip out of the country.

Well, we are sitting here in Woodland Park, Colorado, next to Jack, and happy to be away from Mission, Texas! The temp is 59.8 and may get to 81 today. Great to have the change! We were greeted by someone pulling up next to our rig while we were stocking up at the local Wallmart, and it was Jack with an invite to join him and Danielle for hamburgers! Now that's hospitality! We were greeted at the Park by hugs from Danielle and Jack as well, and then a storm rolled in while we were setting up. It was a good downpour and felt great. Enjoyed the burgers grilled by Jack and our getting caught up afterward. Looking forward to spending a few days here and then on to Summerland, BC. Really enjoy the truck and fiver
