Huh?  There are lots of 45' motorhomes. (and some bigger)  Look at the specs of any m/h manufacturer.

Sorry.... didn't realize that. I have corrected it.    So if a site is stated to be 45' typically, unless you lucked out, a 45' 5th wheel and tow vehicle would not fit which is what the OP is asking.

  2. We volunteered in public and national parks.  When they state 45' that would be their 'guesstimate' of the pad size.  Therefore, it's your trailer & tow vehicle or motorhome & towed vehicle..

Having said that..... we found that those length size of sites are not very accurate.  They are, most likely, given a number by someone driving by on the road and marking it down and quite often, by someone (a ranger) who doesn't even RV and has no idea how big rigs would fit on a site.

One gig was in Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park ..... we assigned sites to incoming reservations and soon found it difficult to find a site for long RVs.  We knew from walking the campground that there were more big sites than the chart in the office we had to go by..... which was done many years ago.  So we asked if we could make a new chart & actually measure the sites.  Having a 40' MH also help to judge if a big rig could even get into a site even though the site may be long enough but with trees and turns it may be very difficult.   We came up with a new chart and found so many additional bigger sites than the original chart had.  The rangers were amazed!

I believe they have gone from being a small couple owned and operated business to being part of larger corporation that has a few companies operating out of that location.  I find comfy robes, schwalm rv parts.  It has evolved from the days of Rick & Lynn filling orders out of their Volvo with the warehouse/DROM on the back.

Rick & Lynn Dahl owned it for 24 yr.  In 2016 Dave & Tracey Brannam took it over.  Not sure what site you're on to buy robes, etc.

  4. The campground should have had the trailer towed off the site if the trailer owner didn't pay for that night & just left it.

If you had a reservation for that specific site the campground owner should have also given you a 3-night gift certificate to use at another time.

This doesn't say much for the campground!

Would MO or OK be a good place to set up a domicile for disabled and seniors  who want to travel the west by truck and trailer? And where is best in the winter months? No matter what,  we will have to live in a camper during the winter...

    Thanks!

Missouri is definitely not the place you want to be in winter .... or summer.  We grew up there!

You'll want a place that doesn't have snowstorms, ice storms or high humidity  in summer.  Surprisingly, you may want to try Benson, Tombstone, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Arizona.  Nice enough summers because of low humidity and elevation helps, also.  In winter you'll have many warmish days but could have cold nights.  Occasional snow but usually melts in a day.

There's a wonderful Escapee co-op park in Benson, AZ.  It's a very popular place in winter and there are many summer residents, also.  We spent many winters there.... a very friendly park and very helpful Escapee members , if needed.

There is no perfect weather place except San Diego area perhaps but then trying to find a reasonable place to stay would be very difficult.

  6. This is from CDC..... looks like the issue is limited data & that's why my doctor said not to combine them at this time.  Glad you had no issues.

"Vaccine Administration, Including Coadministration with Other Vaccines

Coadministration of RSV vaccines with other adult vaccines during the same visit is acceptable.***** Available data on immunogenicity of coadministration of RSV vaccines and other vaccines are currently limited. Coadministration of RSV and seasonal influenza vaccines met noninferiority criteria for immunogenicity with the exception of the FluA/Darwin H3N2 strain when the GSK RSV vaccine was coadministered with adjuvanted quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (28,29). RSV and influenza antibody titers were somewhat lower with coadministration; however, the clinical significance of this is unknown.

Administering RSV vaccine with one or more other vaccines at the same visit might increase local or systemic reactogenicity. Data are only available for coadministration of RSV and influenza vaccines, and evidence is mixed regarding increased reactogenicity. Data are lacking on the safety of coadministration with other vaccines that might be recommended for persons in this age group, such as COVID-19 vaccines; pneumococcal vaccines; adult tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccines; and the recombinant zoster vaccine (the recombinant zoster vaccine and GSK’s RSV vaccine contains the same adjuvant). When deciding whether to coadminister other vaccines with an RSV vaccine, providers should consider whether the patient is up to date with currently recommended vaccines, the feasibility of the patient returning for additional vaccine doses, risk for acquiring vaccine-preventable disease, vaccine reactogenicity profiles, and patient preferences. Postlicensure efficacy and safety monitoring of coadministered RSV vaccines with other vaccines will further direct guidance."

I'm hearing that the COVID booster is available here now. I already got my RSV and Flu two weeks ago or so and will get the COVID booster tomorrow if available. Lynn has gotten none if them and will get two or all three tomorrow and let me know if the COVID is in stock.

I just saw my internist today and she recommended not getting all three together.... do RSV separately.

We went into full-timing with a positive attitude and never questioned our choice. Truthfully, we have absolutely no complaints.  Stuff happens but you just deal with it. There's a solution for everything and sometimes you need to get creative but it all works out in the end.   It may not go smoothly but living in a regular house creates issues, also.  You need to keep your sense of humor.  I think a main requirement is that you BOTH want to do it and BOTH contribute to the RVing chores.  We also BOTH drove the RV taking turns with every move.

During our 16 years we've had our share of surgeries, some serious, but we easily got excellent care.  We were there for all our grandchildren's special events, including sports.  Many times both of us weren't there but what mattered to them was that one of us were there.

We traveled constantly and had some comical adventures that some would think were awful and would want to hang up the keys.  We're glad we dealt with them and moved onward.

It was an awesome lifestyle and volunteering along the way was very gratifying.  We have no regrets.

Yesterday I had a appointment with my ophthalmologist.

Did the normal eye test.   Prescription for my glasses are the same.

The ophthalmologist said that my eyes look good. Basically my problems are gone, that were causing AMD. I had wet in the left eye and dry in the right eye.

I will try to get a copy of my report on Monday.  To have a better understanding of his diagnosis’s.
